Games In Which You Summon/Control Demons

There's Demon King Box for 3ds. You have a hero demon, and summon underlings to fight across one of three lanes of combat to defeat your demon foe on the other side. You attain more hero demons, and more underlings as you go.

Unfortunately lane-based strategy games aren't really my cup of tea.

Neverwinter Nights 1/2 let you do a classic D&D summoning arcane caster.

I've been meaning to put some time into those.

I am not entirely sure what you are looking for in terms of games. At first, I thought it was third-person action close to WOW, but then you said strategy games also count.

I know this is (at least) one step removed from a strategy game, but maybe Hearthstone could fill your "summoning-demon-in-a-WOW-setting" needs. Of course, it is a card game, but given that you are including strategy games...

Ideally I'd like third-person action-RPG-ish, but I know that's not terribly common.

As it happens, I play Hearthstone fairly regularly and one of my most-used decks is a Warlock deck centered around using demons.
