I always sympathised with the bad guys in PORTAL (Turrets and GLADOS) They were so much fun I couldn't stand killing them and seeing as they're computers they have no choice but be bad guys... O and I agree on Andrew Ryan and Alma I was on their side.
the sith from star wars.
so they kill someone here and there who cares. at least they can actually get a girl. but noooo those jedi have something against them just cause their order sucks. jerks >_>
Prototype. I felt sorry for everyone but Alex Mercer, who is...
the living embodiment of a horrifying, deadly virus, he is not even human
...murdering everyone and everything in sight. Just imagine, you go by your everyday business in Manhattan, then suddenly the whole island is quarantined because of a deadly plague that turns humans into monsters, plus, a raging lunatic named Alex Mercer is running amok in the city, decimating everything and everyone in his path. Then the military rolls in a start shooting everyone with tanks.
I feel sorry for the soldiers also, those sorry blokes are just following orders, and what do they get for honestly serving their country? Either get mutilated or consumed alive in a horrifying fashion by a raging psycho with superpowers, get your brainz eaten by zombies or get shot by your own, because they think you are the monster.

If I were in the Star Wars Universe, and I had the Force, I would totally join the Sith. The Jedi just seem so...cold. "Oh, you fear something? You will be evil someday. You want to save someone you love? That's the path to the dark side. No normal human emotions allowed!" I've only seen the movies, so don't flame me if I'm wrong, that's just the impression that I get. Plus, the Sith get to shoot lightening...

All the Halo games, 3 especially(Well, all the true Halo games. Not that shit they call Halo Wars). But not all of the Covenant, just the Grunts. I felt bad after I killed one and another yelled "He killed my friend!" I felt really bad after reading Contact Harvest, though.
My first experience with these guys, chasing one down in order to beat him to death in Halo: Combat Evolved. At the last moment he turns around and squeals "I'll be your friend!". Well that just melted my heart. Hence my creation of Private Schnookums, the first grunt inducted into the UNSC. He's Master Chief's mascot and familiar.

To be fair, that's mainly because the Dark Side of the Force tempts them into becoming evil and psychotic, even if it goes against their original reason for love/anger/fear. For example, when Anakin almost kills Padme in Episode 3 it doesn't really help. So being a force sensitive sucks, if you behave normally you will eventually become malevolently evil and insane. The only Sith who can ever truely gain power from the Dark Side are those old and wise enough to control the insanity, such as Darth Sidious or Darth Traya.
This isn't meant to be a flame, just a chance for me to get my nerdy spewings all over this nice clean thread.
The Helghast from Killzone 2, in the first installment they were totally generic enemies, then I saw the backstory shortly before the release of KZ:2. The ISA are d-bags.
