I'm talking about what the bulk of people like on this site.
For me Left 4 dead 1 & 2.
The first one was okay but it wasn't any better then any other game out there. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. The second one on the other hand was downright boring, I couldn't bring myself to play it at all.

There are some games that are popular that I don't rate. I understand why though, it's because people haven't played anything better. I understand that a lot of people haven't played the good games of the past when they came out and so think some pretty average games are the second coming.

TF2... I'm trying to get into it but... just can't. I don't think it's the game though it's me, I don't think I like multiplayer that much and when I DO play online I think I am happier lone-wolf.

I don't think Portal is that good. I found it too easy, too short and mostly not funny. Granted, I did find the ending sequence cool with some funny lines, the song was great and the game has some of the best audio cues I have ever... heard? But ultimately I was quite disappointed with the game.

Nah, I agree.

L4D is an awesome game IF you like Co-op play and the atmosphere. I can see how others might not like it and a few pub games could turn anyone off it; but overall I think the L4D's are solid.

Starcraft just seems like Warcraft in Space; and it's not that much of a change from Dune 2.

Any CoD after the second(1+2 were !awesome!). Battlefield or Joint Ops are the better franchises, imho.

Haven't played SC2, yet.
I'll see for myself how good it actually is.
But I don't buy into all the marketing hype...

They're all good games to a certain degree, but not worthy all the praise they get.
But like religions, politics and music it's a matter of taste, personal opinions and if you actually tend to use your brain...

Good games, no doubt.
I really loved KotOR I&II, still play them, but the good vs. bad "moral system" with very, very stupid choices if you go the bad route, started to get on my nerves in Jade Empire(the setting saved it) and I simply can't stand it anymore.
Just take a look at Baldurs Gate, dear developers from Oblivion and Bioware...

I can understand why you say that I like the game, but its not one of my all time favorites.



For me Modern Warfare 2 is one of those games. Can't see whats so fun about it.
