I did not find it that amusing either. But I had it on the PC, so it was nice that I could spice it up with some mods.

Half Life 2 & Episodes

I did not find them to be the best. It bothered me a bit. People all claim how marvellous they were...and the story. People say it was good....Well, first of all, Gordon was a terrible character. Flat silent protagonist. None of the other characters were particuarly appealing, either. It was ahwile ago I played it, yet I remember it not making any particular impression. I did not find the guns or anything revolutionary, after I get over the novelty of OMG GRAVITEH GUNZ, they were not particularly amusing. And the crowbar animations are silly. The enemies were also bland and uninspired.

Halo 2 and 3

I admit, I do not own an X-Box myself. I have never played online multiplayer. But the story did jump out at me in either. I do not remember its details like I would in other games. On the note of gameplay, finding guns was a bit bothersome. One of my friends always had a rocket launcher or sword or bigger gun, and I ended up feeling powerless. And the low gravity jumping made me feel sluggish and like a huge target, I did not like that.

That was rather cathartic. I enjoyed writing that. This is a good thread, if only to release.

I just can't stand Metal Gear Solid. I tried to play it but I found myself watching a feature-length cutscene.

Half Life 2 & Episodes

As much as my first knee jerk reaction was to run back inside, screaming bloody murder and swinging a crowbar into your general direction while I do that, I now find myself sobered up and forced to agree.

I enjoyed Half Life, Half Life 2 and the episodes. Yet I can't defend them, because they were nothing special. Gordon Freeman was never a truly interesting character. And while the story was at least consistent and solid, it could have benefited greatly if the central character you were forced to spend time with actually had an opinion of his own once in a while.

Doing all the talking with a crowbar gets old.

Psychonauts, come on, it was a really boring kids game.

Yeah, I didn't really enjoy Psychonauts either.

I thought the jokes were kinda dull. The platforming was fiddly at best and completely broken at worst.

It was certainly visually very impressive and imaginitive, I just couldn't get into it.

Psychonauts imo was not that fun. And my biggest one is HALF LIFE 2. The first one was really good but I just didn't care for the second.

Starcraft 1 wasn't as good as AoE2. It was more about the here and now, the current conflict. The best thing to do in AoE2, is to take 8 people, and play the game without locked teams. It's awesome with all the diplomacy going around.

Starcraft 2 is nothing but Starcraft 1 + pretty graphics (not all that pretty, mind you. It's pretty god-damn cartoony).

Oblivion is an unimaginative sequel to the incredibly brilliant Morrowind. All of the great visual design and atmosphere is gone, not to mention that both armour and alchemy were simplified unnessesarily.

Fallout 3 is a bit more interesting than Oblivion, but I don't like the XP level system in comparison to the Morrowind+Oblivion one. Also I found Fallout 3 to be far too short and underwhelming. The gunplay wasn't good, VATS got old, and the entire game became boring when I realised that I was unstoppable and couldn't improve my character anymore.

That's all I can think of atm.

EDIT: Oh, and there's MW of course.
EDIT2: Bioshock 2 was utter shit. Bioshock 1 was only good in some bits.

Mass Effect 2, horrible story mixed with average combat and decent characterization makes for the best game ever?

The appeal of ME2 is the cinematic-ality of it all. I can't think of another game (though by all means it may exist) that captures that feeling of... I'm not sure. The dialogue is great though is what I'm trying to say. I played ME2 for the dialogue, and found myself trying to get through the combat as fast as possible.

Any of the GTA games, although they were fun at first, I just find them boring now, they tend to be the same kind of missions brought over from the previous games with nothing new.

Some of the older RPGs I can't understand because when I look back at it I see the colored stick figures of something I didn't enjoy.

But the main one was Bioshock for me, I just dont see the appeal especially the 2nd one.

Also, I noticed no one has said the Legend of Zelda series games sucked, neither Metroid or Mario there seems to be a trend here, maybe its that not everyone likes Nintendo, but people certainly dont despise them.
