While this isn't recent when I played Banjo-Tooie as a kid, I would get freaked the hell out while playing the Underwater level and run into the boss; a giant angler fish. That thing scare the crap out of me.
It wasn't about being scared that the Garys would kill you, it was more the surreality of the whole thing. The Vaults in that game always put me on edge. Political experiments, and their results. Fallout's myriad of backstories really unnerved me.DesiPrinceX09 said:Looks like Fallout 3 scares a good amount of people. The deathclaw lair I can understand but the Gary vault? I could kill 3 Garys in one VATS phase using my weakest weapon, I think Gary became more scared of me. The deathclaws are at least a challenge since they are both fast and strong and really hard to sneak by.
While I don't recall myself being scared by a game, my brother in-law gets freaked out in that one part in the first Bioshock where you first enter Rapture and that Spider splicer guts that dude and screams really loud. Though I do admit I jumped a bit when I first heard that.
actually i do but it wasn't until that kid asked me if i believe in ghost and i said no. then he said somthing about an invisible hand on my shoulder and my sprite twitched and turned to face directly behind him. maybe it was a mistake of pressing a directional button but it scared me witlessKiruCookie said:Anyone remember lavender town?

You said it. The metros also scared the crap out of me. I don't like fast zombies.marter said:Fallout 3. Between the Gary vault and the Dunwich Building, I was genuinely afraid.
And don't even get me started about the Deathclaw Sanctuary.
Ya, I was going to type this but you beat me to it. I am scared of giant creatures underwater for some reason. Pretty sure that is a type of phobia.FreshyQ said:Super Mario 64: The eel in Jolly Roger Bay, the shark and the whirlpool in Dire Dire Docks.
Oh crap, that thing freaked me out.AgDr_ODST said:In Banjo Tooie the big fish that serves as the boss in the Jolly Roger Lagoon level. At the time I stupidly thought it would be the easiest jiggy ever(as the jiggy just hangs there before you initially) but boy was I wrong I swam closer and *BAM* that giant freaky fish appeared I ran from the room and promptly wet myself. But then I went back and fought him as the submarine and torpedoed his ass to hell and laughed while he was left hanging there upside down sans jiggy.
That aside exploring the other vaults and my first run in with a Deathclaw in Fallout 3 were quite frightening.
