Some games can be a real waste of time with no depth at all, and others can open your mind to new ideas or just have an emotional impact. For me I was 10 or so and final fantasy 9 really affected me. Anyone else have games like that?
Well, I saw someone playing the original Silent Hill when I was around 5 or 6...and it scarred me. However, nowadays, it seems I've developed a sort of Stockholm Syndrome as horror games are my favourite genre and I believe Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly: Director's Cut (Xbox) is the best game currently in existence.
Sonic 3 & Knuckles made me a gamer, and before that I was introduced with Pokemon Yellow. I can't put in words how big Pokemon was in my early (6-7) childhood.
Rainbox six vegas, It was the first online game i ever played and it sucked me in straight away. I wish there was a way i could find out how much time i wasted online playing that game!
Jak & Daxter was the game that made me buy a Playstation 2, which I now have played more than 25 games on. Without it, I wouldn't be the gamer I am today, cause as the years went on and I played on my beautiful Playstation 2, I eventually bought a Wii and a 360, and here I am now. It basically got me into modern console gaming.
Halo 3. Until it came out, I was a rabid PC freak. Then I got a 360, due to prodding from a mate who wouldn't shut up about it and a drought of exciting PC releases. Now my PC sits, gathering dust, un-upgraded since, while my stack of 360 games continues to pile up.
Left 4 Dead helped fuel my current zombie obsession, and Halo 3/Call of Duty 4 were the first games I played upon getting Xbox Live. Having never played on Live before, the experience was magical.
