Games That Deserve To Be Remade

So, everyone is making a huge fuss about this possible Halo: Combat Evolved remake from Microsoft, now that Bungie is working for Activison (/Edit). I really couldn't care less, but here's my question:

Are there any games you would want to see remade today, and why?

For me, it would have to be Timesplitters 2/3. Those two games were classics, and a big part of my childhood. Unfortunately, the 360 doesn't play them (at least, won't play 3), so I can only reminisce about how awesome they were.

If they were remade however, I could relive all those found memories of killing people with monkeys with improved graphics and better online play.

The Colony Wars series from Playstation one, its one of the only space sims I know about that isn't just a FPS running around with an assault rifle in space but actually ship to ship combat.

New graphics and mechanics with a revised storyline and a multiplayer to add in some more climatic scenes/battles though thinking about it with todays tech you probably can do that without changing the story to much.

Thats my choice don't hate me for it, at least it would be something 'new' from all the FPS's.

The earlier Command & Conquer games (up to and including RA2 & YR)
Deus Ex
Resident Evil 1-3 (yeah, I know there's a remake of the first one)
Metal Gear Solid (again, I know there's a remake of this already)

Purely graphical remakes though. Don't touch the gameplay mechanics or story. Or the dialogue like they did in the RE-make for the Gamecube or add stupid shit like backflipping off missiles like they did in The Twin Snakes).

Except maybe a build queue like they had in Tiberian Sun would be a nice addition to the first two C&C games, and a skirmish mode for the original game.

Spyro the Dragon, only in terms of graphics... and maybe voice acting.

Yes, I'm one of the freaks who genuinely liked the reboot, but I would absolutely adore a graphical update of the first Spyro, the gameplay and story (what little there was) would be intact.

Arcanum in the same style as Fallout 3. Keeping the same plot, dialogue and voice acting from the original.

I'd also love to see a Legend of Dragoon remake.

Too Human: That game was rotten to the core. Maybe if they went back and tried again it would come out as something other than a huge pile of shit. Same with Alpha Protocol only that was more bug-ridden than bad.

Back in topic town:
I guess I'd like to see Pulseman brought back, you know to expose it to a broad audience on the XBLA or Wiiware now a days rather than the platformer clone wars of the 90s. Also it would let Game Freak do something new rather than just make another Pokemon game.
