Yes the servers may be gone, but that only removes multiplayer (which doesnt affect the demo at all).newguy77 said:Aren't the servers gone for that one?Carrotslayer said:I've said it before and I'll say it again: CHROMEHOUNDS!
Such a rough diamond...
I recommend everyone with xbox live to download the demo for chromehounds!
OT: I'd just like a system that can play all the old N64 games I have with controllers that are actually worth a crap. The controllers that we have have terrible joysticks that barely work anymore (thanks Mario Party).
I have to disagree with you there, I hated Marathon. The story was medicore, and the gameplay was decent, but dear god, THE LEVEL DESIGN!Flac00 said:The Original Marathon series. That series is what started the modern FPS. It also had an amazing storyline. I hope that game is in Bungie's To-do list
I downloaded the trial for Marathon: Durandal on XBL... oh, god, that was the absolute worst level design I have ever seen in a game. Not only boring level design, but I was constantly trying to figure out where I was supposed to go next. I don't think I ever managed to finish the level.Deef said:I have to disagree with you there, I hated Marathon. These need to happen post haste. Also we need a remake of the MDK series.roostuf said:I want the entire legacy of kain series to be remade, now when i say that i mean:
-improve grathics
-do not touch the voice acting
-do not touch the story line
-do not touch the music
-make a practical game engine for all of the games i.e soul reaver mechanic>defiance mechanic
No. No, no, no, no, no.adderseal said:I want a Link to the Past remake, doing all those brilliant dungeons in full 3D would be amazing. Come on Nintendo, you know you want to.
I dunno, I reckon the Ice Palace would work really well, already you have to navigate the floors by dropping through holes, it could be like the Water Temple from OoT- the same sort of multi-layered puzzle-dungeon. Things like the Swamp Palace might not be as good though, it's true.Skoldpadda said:No. No, no, no, no, no.adderseal said:I want a Link to the Past remake, doing all those brilliant dungeons in full 3D would be amazing. No, it would feel horribly restrictive. You'd be stuck on 2D gameplay in a 3D world. That's bad. Especially since real 3D Zelda games have always had 3D gameplay. It would feel like a step back.
The story?? Dude, the story was much better than something like Doom, which had a storyline that consisted of "There are evil things, kill them". Also, the level design is a different style than your more linear modern FPS. It requires exploration and patience. Many levels were pretty linear too. I have not played the XBLA version, nor the demo of it, but I assume it is the first level. Which, in that level, getting lost is impossible, you just have to stop and think a bit and look at the map. This was a different style of games back then, Doom and Quake had the same "problems" you are talking about.Deef said:I have to disagree with you there, I hated Marathon. Don't get me wrong, I completed the game. The first level was relatively simple, but as I progressed in the game the level design just became a horrible mess, leaving me spending more time trying to figure out what the fuck I was supposed to do than anything else.Flac00 said:The story?? I second this, it would give even Oblivion a run for its money.Booze Zombie said:Arx Fatalis, I love that game.
I don't know about you, but i would rather they remade the first one, future is pretty crappy imo.northeast rower said:The point is to have fun.
