Obligitory FF7. I Know that will spark its own discussion, but as a FF7 fan girl, I feel I am obligated to put it in this thread. Because yes, I do feel it needs to be remade and modernized. ;)

I want the rumored Halo remake to have the first 2 in it. And the other game I want remade is Odd World: Strangers Wrath man that would be great.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: CHROMEHOUNDS!

Such a rough diamond...

I recommend everyone with xbox live to download the demo for chromehounds!
Aren't the servers gone for that one?

OT: I'd just like a system that can play all the old N64 games I have with controllers that are actually worth a crap. The controllers that we have have terrible joysticks that barely work anymore (thanks Mario Party).
Yes the servers may be gone, but that only removes multiplayer (which doesnt affect the demo at all).

I don't recommend anyone to buy the game, since the multiplayer was the only thing that was really fun....

The Original Marathon series. That series is what started the modern FPS. It also had an amazing storyline. I hope that game is in Bungie's To-do list
I have to disagree with you there, I hated Marathon. The story was medicore, and the gameplay was decent, but dear god, THE LEVEL DESIGN!

I downloaded the trial for Marathon: Durandal on XBL... oh, god, that was the absolute worst level design I have ever seen in a game. Not only boring level design, but I was constantly trying to figure out where I was supposed to go next. I don't think I ever managed to finish the level.

I want the entire legacy of kain series to be remade, now when i say that i mean:

-improve grathics
-do not touch the voice acting
-do not touch the story line
-do not touch the music
-make a practical game engine for all of the games i.e soul reaver mechanic>defiance mechanic
These need to happen post haste. Also we need a remake of the MDK series.

I want a Link to the Past remake, doing all those brilliant dungeons in full 3D would be amazing. Come on Nintendo, you know you want to.
No. No, no, no, no, no.

No, it would feel horribly restrictive. You'd be stuck on 2D gameplay in a 3D world. That's bad. Especially since real 3D Zelda games have always had 3D gameplay. It would feel like a step back.

I dunno, I reckon the Ice Palace would work really well, already you have to navigate the floors by dropping through holes, it could be like the Water Temple from OoT- the same sort of multi-layered puzzle-dungeon. Things like the Swamp Palace might not be as good though, it's true.

Lylat Wars if any, but not in a shitty different version like starfox on the PS2. A proper remake! But it may not be the best idea; they might ruin the original magic :p

The story?? Dude, the story was much better than something like Doom, which had a storyline that consisted of "There are evil things, kill them". Also, the level design is a different style than your more linear modern FPS. It requires exploration and patience. Many levels were pretty linear too. I have not played the XBLA version, nor the demo of it, but I assume it is the first level. Which, in that level, getting lost is impossible, you just have to stop and think a bit and look at the map. This was a different style of games back then, Doom and Quake had the same "problems" you are talking about.

Don't get me wrong, I completed the game. The first level was relatively simple, but as I progressed in the game the level design just became a horrible mess, leaving me spending more time trying to figure out what the fuck I was supposed to do than anything else.
You may have a point that I'm more habituated to modern games, but consider that maybe Marathon just had fucking awful level design.

Anachronox! Seriously that game was teh awesomez to the max! The only major downside was the crappy graphics but imagine seeing the twisting, gravity-bending hallways of anachronox with current-gen graphics.

Arx Fatalis, I love that game.
I second this, it would give even Oblivion a run for its money.

Oh god, I thought Halo was painfully generic back when Bungie was making it and now they're giving it to Activision? ugh
The point is to have fun. Not every game has to be unique.

OT:
KOTOR
Jet Set Radio Future
Burnout 3
Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30
Call of Duty: Big Red One (I loved this when I had an Xbox)
Splinter Cell (1st one)
I don't know about you, but i would rather they remade the first one, future is pretty crappy imo.

I want them to remake what they should of remade a long time ago, and im not talking about a stupid reboot either, just the game like it was on the n64, just with better graphics.

Motherfucking Goldeneye!

Master of Monsters from the Sega Genesis. It needs to have a team mode, a larger amount of creatures allowed in your army at a time, and updated music and graphics. But it NEEDS to stay a "grab and play" game that only requires 1 controller and allows multiple people to play! That was it's charm.

They tried it once on the playstation. What was cranked out was hoooooooorible. And the sound effects! Arrrgh! Get out of my head pawing pegasus with hooves like nails on a chalkboard! Aaaaaaagggghhh!
