Arx Fatalis, it really was a great game and I can't believe it didn't take off. I mean, I suggested it to an let's player and he just got caught up in it in minutes, never seen someone so giddy.

definitely Brutal Legend, that game was awesome, fuck reviewers for talking me out of buying it at launch
This. A thousand times this. I never understood all the bashing of the RTS elements of that game. It broke up the hack-and-slash monotony, it worked in the context of the story, and it made for a pretty fun multiplayer (balancing issues notwithstanding). I played the shit out of that game for a while, and now I want to go back and re-play it.

Grim Fandango should've sold waaaay better then it did. I recently played it again and it still holds up. Man that game is good.

The first game that pops into my mind is Too Human. Now before someone tries telling me how horrible that game was, remember that this is a thread for people to express their opinions, nothing more.

So yeah, I wouldn't say it influenced me in any way, but I just know it's a game that got slated almost or possibly more than Two Worlds, and yet, I loved it so much I maxed out 2 characters. It's just a shame that ultra rare armour was too hard to get otherwise I might have aimed for 100% gamerscore and maybe all characters maxed too.

Gotcha Force had great graphic seeing it's a Gamecube game. The gameplay is addicting despite repetative and it's was genuie a fun to play game. Best of all, it had some awesome electronic theme tunes that was very catchy!

Lost Planet 2
it got a lot of shit for the things that made it a unique experience
the set pieces, the arcade style game-play, giant robots battling aliens, and awesome co-op.
That game is one of the few that I have purchased where it felt like it was worth more than $60

I'd say Black from a few years ago (I had it on PS2) didn't get enough praise, it's hard to describe it but it basic terms it's Call Of Duty before it became a hated francise. Seriously everything blows up, in one difficulty level you have a checklist of things to blow up.
Damn that was a good game, I'd almost forgotten all about it.The words your looking for are gun porn.

Brutal Legend definately deserved more sales, better reviews, and better publishers. I had alot of fun with that game, and is one of the few games that I have replayed.
Through the Fire and the Flames while escaping a strafing run on a castle in a beastly car = Epic-Win
Its development history is also pretty interesting, it was lucky to be released at all to be frank.

System Shock 2. Yes, it has become a bit of a cult classic in recent years, but frankly, a game that was that sophisticated versus the likes of Quake 2 deserved a better response from the public instead of just from the critics.
yeah, but if you remember, System Shock 2 had an extremely complicated learning curve, at least compared to Quake 2

that and Quake 2 had better graphics, was easier to pick up and play, and it was straight forward action, you know how people are XD

The only to games that spring to mind for me now are Kotor 2 and RE5

Kotor 2 was not the horrible crap many claim it to be but take into consideration that it's was a new developer and Lucasarts only gave them a year to make it and KOTOR 1 was a Star Wars extravaganza and is one of the few things that remind why I still like the franchise

RE5 is also underestimated, sure the majority of the game is in bright sunlight and not scary but the series stopped being scary with RE4 also I did not have many problems with the AI partner even though many people gave it the "retard" label

Okami, Valkyria Chronicles, and Beyond Good and Evil.

The former two are pieces of art. The gameplay is enjoyable and smooth.

Beyond Good and Evil has a little bit of everything. It relies partly on the gamer's ability to sovle puzzles, it's a platformer, it's a stealth game, and it has a number of Zelda-like quests. The aesthetics are very good and haven't aged dramatically. The characters are simple but well conceived (not cliched).

Red Alert 3. It's a great game but once people hear that it isn't just a re-hashing of Red Alert 2 they dismiss it as crap without even giving it a chance.

I'm gonna go for the obvious answer and say anything by clover studios(they made suck good games!) and the studios sucessor Platinum games, vanquish is such a fun shotter and the most fun i've had with the genre in a long time.

Call of Duty! nah i joke, for me its gota be MadWorld on the wii, that was an amazing game. But unfortunately the black and white graphics ( which actually made the game great) put alot of people off from buying it.
