Final Fantasy. Sagatouchi Japaneselastname left Square Enix after FF9, and started his own company named "Mistwalker studios" and made the Lost Odyssey. This is just my own personal opinion, but Final Fantasy has gotten worse since then.
I'll say after 10, yes.

OT: Star Fox. After "Adventures" everything else seems so bland and shallow. I don't really like SF64 anymore either.

Edit: Because Adventures SUCKED SO BAD.

If I'm really pushed, I know I'll get flamed and insta-banned...*sniff*...but the
-->CALL OF DUTY <-- series after CoD 2. I don't count MW and MW2 into the CoD series, not after IW tried to remove the 'Call of Duty' from MW2s title.

So evaluating the sequels from the amazing game that was CoD 2 -
BR1 (don't get me started on this)

Cod 3 (good story, terrible multiplayer and a major infestation of the goddamn QTEs)

CoD 5 (boring campaign, didn't feel for anyone except that bit when Polonski blew up, multiplayer was average, but dogs killed it and Zombies was the only redeeming feature. EXCEPT the zombie map packs came one pert undead fashists to 3 parts mediocrity)

Cod Black Ops (Multiplayer drags itself from the dirt, for me [almost] a shining paragon of what to do right [except for the GODDAMN DOGS], Campaign gave me a head ache and the death of that certain someone who we knew and loved from WaW didn't make me want to kill the big bad like the death of Ghost in MW2, it just made me kinda sad, bordering on apathetic. Zombies is a blast again, but sadly it has been made VERY hard, in a duo I'm lucky if I can get to round 14. You should be able to make it 'easy' throuh a check option so you can just have fun reveling in your own awesome-ness and not worry too much about the zombies owning you and your effort to reach the current wave being wasted.)

There, Flame me at will.

Medal of Honor. What a leatdown.
I dont get the Medal Of Honor is a letdown train people have jumped on.
I think that the latest MOH may have been a fairly acceptable entry into the series, but ignoring that, realistically there hasn't really been a good MOH since Allied Assault.
What exactly do you mean by realistically?
In comparison (Although i haven't got it, I'm judging from everything I see and read) to Call of Duty series, the new MOH is actually far more realistic than the latter. The CoD franchise only have military consultants for guns, operations and terminology. While MOH is actually based on real-war Afghanistan at the moment...they consulted with real Tier 1 operators and the guy Deuce or was it Rabbit? (Maybe just his codename) was actually a real person and some of the events did happen and how the ending is actually real. He did die.

Or do you mean by sales comparison? If that, its hard to release a game that would try and knock off the CoD games off the shelves -that is being realistic. Both are entirely different in gameplay and storyline,MOH being slightly more realistic while CoD tends to dramatise the series. And the market trend for games nowadays is more about graphics/gameplay or multipplayer, sadly, not storyline as much....
Sorry, I didn't mean "realistic" as in realistic graphics or gameplay or the sim-ness of the game. A better way to phrase it would have been

I think that the latest MOH may have been a fairly acceptable entry into the series, but ignoring that, there hasn't really been a good MOH since Allied Assault.

MOH established a serious pedigree with MOHAA, and then released a succession of crappy installments. MOH was supposed to be a return to form and expectations have been understandably high, even though faith was understandably low.

Mass Effect. #2 is just such a fucking disappointment that I am considering not even bothering with #3. I am just praying that #2 does turn out to be the mediocre middle child but its disgrace is lessened by having awesome brothers.
Wow, we must have played different games... or have *extremely* different ideas of what we want out of a game. I think ME2 is quite literally the greatest game ever made.

People will LOL at this but World of warcraft as this makes warcraft 4 a lot less likly.
Actually, that is a great one to point out. It didn't kill itself like many of these games for being bad, but for being too popular. I really enjoyed the story in Warcraft 1-3, but WoW has taken over to the point where I don't think I'll be able to keep up with or care about much of the lore. Also, it seems like some things are being done to the universe for the sake of making a MMO interesting and not having a well developed game universe. What bits I've heard, it's turning into a lame soap opera, just to keep people interested with petty details.
I am glad someone else agrees. That articulated a lot of how I feel.

I feel like it is taking away from the warcraft legacy, which was so perfectly crafted.

Metroid, I have to say. Everything before Other M portrayed Samus as *the* most badass woman in existence, with two emotions, mild surprise, and a near genocidal hatred for anything related to Space Pirates/RandomEvilThing.

With Other M, it turned her into a whining, doubting, extremely submissive woman who is paralyzed with fear when she sees Ridley. Despite her usual reaction being "Well damn, guess I'll kill it again".

And more likely than not, future games will be based off her Other M incarnation.
I wont even buy Other M for that exact reason. I don't mind the voice dialogue and story aspect but they trashed my memory of Samus. I just file it under "non-canon" and move on.
Completely agree, hell, I was looking forward to more story.

Oh yeah, totally this. They fumbled so badly with Mass Effect 2. Before it, all Bioware games were immediate pre-order but now, especially after seeing all the horribly disappointing changes they're making to Dragon Age, I'm going to take their products with a serious grain of salt.
Me too. I regret getting ME2. I won't be getting DA 2, that's for sure. Unsure about ME3. They could win me back with some openworld and actual RP elements, otherwise I'll pass.

All chances of Timesplitters 4 being released were killed by the financial failure that was Haze.

I never played Other M, but I knew she could speak! I saw some gameplay and I was surprised that after all of her years as a badass they turned her into that.

What I think is going downhill
Final Fantasy: After the disaster of the 12 (not a bad game but felt really MEH), 13 was a huge linear game, let not talk about the 14 that was release way to much ahead of it completion

Megaman: zero spin off were meh and im a big fan MM

C&C: Sorry but I think I just sick after playing the same game for the 4th time, feel like they is no change for 3 to 4

World War 2 Shooter: Could we have a change of scenery, those have been done to the death there like thousand other thing you can have

Quake: I feel bad for this one, quake was a great game

Just my thought!

im REALLY hoping Prototype 2 doesnt

so far this is how my wishlist is going...:
-Give me the ability to eat while on the run (to avoid those things I mentioned earlier about web of intrigue targets dying randomly)
-Give me the ability to use my claws and sword while sprinting without sacrificing movement (like a running stiff-arm or something)
LOOKS LIKE IT'S DELIVERED!-Give me the ability to use my razor-whip to whip my way onto buildings like Spiderman or Bionic Commando.
-Give me some more cheats
FAILED!-Have a different location, something more colorful and lively, like Las Vegas (Prototype in vegas could be fun, no?)
-Consolidate the moves so that we don't have to do awkward button combination to pull them off (like x+b)
DELIVERED!-use a better engine that can make the damage look better/more gratuitous and allow us to destroy more buildings (just a suggestion)
-have more varied minigames/sidemissions (i didnt discuss these before, but its because you dont HAVE to do them, nor do they really add or subtract anything from the game if you ignore them)
-More DLC support, maybe we could get more cool powers or costumes and stuff, you know?
-a way to attack without sacrificing ANY movement speed, like with the sword or claws.
-a power with the whipfist that allows you to have some, like "razor stiff-arm" that extends throughout the whole street to dismember anyone you run by for a short period of time
-a way to eat while on the move so you dont have to worry about web of intrigue targets getting blown the fuck up when you grab them.
-a way to catch and/or punch back missiles at enemies.
-COOL CHEATS!
-Good, comprehensive multiplayer like in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Command and Conquer 4, the last three games (RA3, C&C3 and Generals) weren't as bad as some would make it. But Command and Conquer 4 really blew it when it "tried" to innovate, and doing complete shit in trying to do so.
