¿Have you ever bought a game, hate it, puted away, picked again some time after, and like it?

I bought a ps2 two years ago, and one of the first games i get is "Devil May Cry". I was very excited because i loved the "Devil May Cry 3" on the pc, but after playing like for a day or two i got frustrated by the life system, the lack of dash movement, the useless easy mode, the lame cutscenes (compared to the 3 ones), the aliasing, etc. I started it again this week and i love it. Turn out that i just couldn´t enjoy it because i was comparing it too much to the 3, wich was far better.
So, ¿Does that ever happen to you?

Resistance: Fall of Man.

When I first played the demo, I was unimpressed. When someone gave me the game as a gift, I decided to play it, and was blown away by it.

This happened to me with Elder Scrolls Oblivion. At first I hated the game and thought the first part was rather boring. I gave up playing it for months, picked it up out of boredom, and ended up liking it quite a lot.

Dragon Age: Origins

When I first tried it, I thought it was dull and boring and I didn't get what was so great about it. I tried it again and I really enjoyed it. :D

Left 4 Dead. For some reason I hated it during the Demo but after playing for the very last few hours the demo was available I started liking it and didn't regret preordering anymore.

And Probably Gran Turismo, I sucked at it when I was like 8 or 9 so I didn't play it alot. Now I'm looking forward to GT5 and might be getting a PS3 just because of that.

First time playing through mass effect i rushed through it chasing achievments and didn't really enjoy it much, then left it to gather dust for about 6 months. then i got bored, played through it again slowly and loved it.

Morrowind bored the shit out of me the first time I played it, but I just picked it up again recently and it's really good!

Also, Saints Row 2. Didn't suck me in at all the first time, but I started playing it a little while back and I can't get over how fun it is.
Morrowind does that, or people get completely lost initially and have no clue what they're doing until they get into it a bit. My brother is actually playing it right now, and I had to help him find Gentleman Jim Stacey. The ONE guy in the game named like a Mark Twain mississippi boatman, instead of a LOTR character.

Sly Cooper. Wanted some platforming action, but never got into it.

Then I got Super Mario Sunshine. After getting annoyed at those secret levels, I picked Sly back up and found it to be a very pleasing game. Although the bosses suck.

I had a slight change of heart about Oblivion. When I first played it, Bioware's awesome Fallout 3 kept me going for around 5-7 hours before I realized the game was crap and shelved it. A while later, I gave another heaving try only to fail after about another 8 hours. Finally, I played again, and after playing through the admittedly much better guild missions, I've revised my statement so that the game is now "Okay" in my books. I still think it's overrated, especially because the Main quest, Plot, Voice acting, and combat are all absolute crap, but those guild missions bumped it up enough to be passable in my books.

Also, I started Dragon Age: Origins with little expectations, other than liking Mass Effect. However, Mass Effect and Dragon Age are vastly different games, and my first couple hours in Origins didn't go well. I was frustrated at the combat system and it wasn't fun. Quickly after that I realized that the game was fucking awesome, and I really ended up loving the game in the end.

Lastly, I liked Red Faction: Guerrilla at the start, but quickly realized that the plot was barley there, the combat was meh, the world was empty, and the AI was pants-on-head retarded.

I didn't like Prince of Persia: Sands of Time when I first played it. My brother talked me into trying it, and I played maybe 20 minutes in before I gave up on it. It wasn't until a year later when we had the other two games, that I spontaneously decided the trilogy looked kinda fun and wanted to go back and play Sands of Time again. I was hooked. My parents found me up at 5:00 in the morning still playing it.

KOTOR, I rented it one time and absolutely hated every part of it, I later bought it for $6 and it became one of my favorite RPGs of all time.

I actually didn't like Kingdom Hearts 1 the first time I played it, since it was too hard for me. I couldn't get past Cerberus :(
Then I played through KH2, and went back to KH1.

Deus Ex, we first rented it and i had a little play through and didn't like it (i only played through a bit of the first level and the tutorial). But my dad thought i had so he brought it for me for Christmas, not wanting to look ungrateful that my parents were actually buying me video games i gave it a good try.

Turns out its really good, possibly my fav game ever.

Resident Evil 4, I was one of those 'this isn't real Resident Evil' fangirls, and I absolutely hated it after the first 10 minutes. Went back again a year later or so and loved every second of it.
