I just finished Shadow of memories/destiny and the story is full of plot holes and unintended nonsense. Have you played a game like this?

Dead Rising.
While I understand that the main purpose of the game was to let you kill zombies in a mall, they could have at least come up with a semi-plausible story to accompany it.

That's one of the trippiest games I'd ever seen. I never did quite understand the point of the pointlessness.

Hard Reset. The devs somehow managed to make a game whose story's sole responsibility was explaining why I get to murder robots into a convoluted, confusing, nonsensical mess.

It's still a damn fucking fun game though.

FF8. There is actually no official canonical ending. Not to mention the coincidence of all coincidences (If you've played it you will know. You will know...). Doesn't mean I don't love it though.

I read a really long plot analysis from gamefaq and still i don´t understood much. I love it, tough.

Yeah...the second was my favorite of the two but I still don't know several fundamental things about the game like, what year is it. Where in the hell does the game take place (it sure as hell isn't Earth) and, why don't the humans just move to another planet? It seems the Locusts just want the planet to themselves.

---

Considering the relationship between Mario and crew and, Bowser and crew, it's really weird that they would ever get together for a friendly day of go-karting. Mario even brought DK who have always had a really negative pet/owner relationship. Granted it gets less weird when they do it as often as they have. I'm still not sure if they're on their 7th go-kart outting...AH-HA!!!

Mario Kart 7 isn't Mario Kart 7!! Japan Final Fantasied us again! Mario Kart 3D is actually the 9th Mario Kart. In Japan, there are 2 games that weren't released elsewhere. Both of which were arcade adventures though so they may not count. I sure as hell am going to count them though...

World of Tanks, why are American, Russian and German all fighting on the same side!

But a more serious response, Prey made semi sense a fair amount of the way through but one thing that always got me

Towards the end the aliens somehow ended up invading the land of the ancients, which I thought was being depicted in that game as native american heaven, and tommys grandfather can make psychic shields in this place to hold off alien gunfire... erm... what?!

But while I'm on Prey, Tommy's reluctance to believe everything was stupid "oh so I can astral project myself, I have a spirit guide etc etc etc, neat... BUT ITS STILL BULLSH*T AND DOESNT EXIST!"

Fallout 3 was like that.
Why?
-The G.E.C.K was used in a way that went against continuity
-Everyone in the dc area would be dead before project purity started, If you drank irradiated water everyday for 20 years you would be dead, if your character drinks irradiated water everyday for a week he's already dead
-Your companion beeing imune to radiation [Charon, Fawkes, Robot] refusing to start the purifier and thus forcing either you or the Paladin chick fighting with you to start and thus "die" in it.
-Why the fuck did your dad sacrifice himself? I could have killed every enclave member in that station in about 3 seconds
-Why are super mutants in the ruins?
-Little Mother Fucking Lamplight

Haha, yeah, his hardcore "atheism" is pretty funny after he's ressurrected or whatever.

The other thing I just chalk up to "because science". Maybe "because magic". Maybe they blur the line. But I think they did make Tommy say "WTF" when it happened, so the devs probably knew it made no sense whatsoever. :D

They didn't die from the irradiated water because they built very simply purifiers that couldn't handle huge volumes of water which is what project purity was meant to do. Also radaway

Just Cause two just had a crap story, but I'm not sure if that counts.
Still fun to dual-wield grenade launchers :D
