Bioshock is the big one for me. The actiony shit that overtook my wonderful opening experience of a horror atmosphere just pissed me off too much. And I shouldn't have to lower the difficulty to have fun, that's just bad design.

Oblivion didn't hit my gamer spot as well as FO3 did, maybe it's a one or the other kind of thing? I believe it is, since I remember a topic asking who liked what between the 2 and people chose one or the other

Left 4 Dead

Got sick of runnning around the same four maps pretty quick, for some reason I never really get into Zombie horde modes, I didn't like Nazi Zombies either.

This is why I'm holding off RDR, it looks really good but I can tell it's just going to be the same pretty much. Reviewers have said so anyway.
It's a lot better than GTA4 actually, here I did a pretty un-biased review (and I'm already getting a little bit of negativity for daring to point out that the game has a few flaws)

God of War with its hand-holding and pre-recorded ass-kicking which cheats the player into thinking they are actually participating.

I'm not a fan of macho bullshit unless its poking fun at it.

And the Metal Gear Solid series, regarding the dialogues and so-called plot. That's embarassing to witness, even though the voice acting and gameplay are great.

Thanks, that's a wonderfully written review by the way.

I think I'm going to have to give it a try. One thing though, GTA IV looks like it's been smeared with 3 tonnes of Vaseline and - whilst I know on the PS3 RDR has that problem - do you know whether it's better on the 360 (compared to GTA)? It drives me insane.

Halo. I dislike ultra sci-fi fantasy games in general, like Final Fantasy, Mass Effect, Gears of War, etc.

Knights of the Old Republic. Its good and all but... meh.

Same for Oblivion, but since I really liked Morrowind I think thats my kind of ALL SEQUELS SUCK rubbishness kicking in.
Except that Morrowwind itself was a sequel. Hence Oblivion being numbered IV

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

It may be that I'm pretty impatient in that game, but I just don't like it that much. I do see why other people like it, however.

The most extreme one is GTA4. I just can't take it, I tried to get into it several times, I tried to get into Episodes of Liberty City but it just feels like Grand Boredom Auto to me. Slow walking movement, crappiest driving in a long time, and your god damn cousin just ruin the experience for me.

I wonder if I'll like RDR

And Mass Effect/Dragon Age. Oh... how you bore me so so very much.

And I can't be accused of lack of patience to a game that gets better with time. I played FF13 and found it less boring than GTA4/ME/DA, even in the beggining.

I also hate Resistance 1/2, Halo, and macho faggotry duets like Army of Two and Gears, but nowhere near as bad as the 3 listed above.

Before someone accuses me of not liking anything, here's the games from 2010 I loved:
Bayonetta
Assassin's Creed 2
Yakuza 3
Resonance of Fate
God of War 3
Modnation racers (Loading times and AI piss me off, but I love it solely for the 4 player Split Screen)
Final Fantasy 13

Halo. It's so overhyped for a FPS, and yet has such rabid fans. Grand Theft Auto bored the hell out of me. Dragon Age.... don't get me started on that one (also tired of the Mass Effect BS hype, thanks ever so much).

Lastly, if I could, I'd aim a flamethrower at the team that invented Farmville, and set the selector to "extra crispy". Then I'd introduce them to Mr. Yellow, old school.
This man has the right ideas :)

Little Big Planet, Killzone 2, World of Warcraft, Street Fighter 4 to name some of the most popular.

The prodoction values in all those games are admittingly high, but they're just not my thing. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend either as a quality game though.

Vaseline? Like some kind of visual effect? I dunno!

It looks pretty amazing to be honest, and I've seen some screen comparisons that clearly show the 360 to be the better looking version. The graphics are up there with Assasin's Creed 2 in some parts, it's twice as pretty as GTA4 (and on a technical level everything is designed with more detail, shadows etc).

This and the Modern Warefare games. I don't know why they are so good to everyone. It's Linear, and pretty lame. It's like a cross between an ego shooter and a tactical, but they got lost somewhere along the way.
