The question is simple. Have you ever played a game with multiplayer but shouldn't have? Either the multiplayer is terrible, or the game itself doesn't suit itself for multiplayer.

My choice would have to be Lost Planet, as the single-player was bad enough, and having extra people fighting didn't help much.

Just so everyone knows: Search Bar Approved

Doom 3. Definitely Doom 3. The multiplayer was just so boring and didn't have the single player atmosphere at all.

Bioshock 2. It may not be out yet, but it lost all appeal to me when I found out it had a multiplayer(It has co-op[I think] which is good, but online PvP multiplayer isn't).

The Godfather 2 multiplayer was pretty awful. Anyone not using the magnum automatically loses. That gun was overpowered in single-player, and just as overpowered in multiplayer; it was practically as strong as the sniper rifle, and just as accurate.

Halo series, Gears of War series, and Samurai Warriors 2.

Note: Refer to my next post if you disagree about the first two.

Two Worlds. What a bloody disaster that was.

"BANDITS!"

"No, that's another player in Team Deathmatch..."

"Nay! Tis' not possible. Mayhap the taint has arrived."

"Verily dude...hold on a second."

*Summons steel golem.*

I'm serious, I can't imagine how bad that must have been.

Actually it doesn't have co-op, which is good because the story needs only a singular perspective. And if they still focus more on the story the multi-player should just be a nice diversion.

Godfather II. When they could've put more effort into the story, they put in generic Deathmatch instead.
Then I am completely turned off of Bioshock 2. They probably won't focus on the story, and succumb to the overused "Team Deathmatch", and ruin the main aspect to the first game I liked. A good single player game.

Them focusing on multiplayer is my exact reason why they should nto have had it. Maybe Halo 2 and 3;s stories would ahve been epic like 1's. Thats more for Halo though, My reasoining for Gears is that its glitchy as hell and also has spawned a mass of stupid fans who dont appreciate games that are actually good. Gears I just want them to stop being the Glitchiest Place on Earth and less mindless fans then I will not be so hateful towards it. Halo however should just never have gone online except online co-op.

Wow I messed up on my editing. So I just removed it all and left my response.

Yeah, Two Worlds was a f---in' mess. I remember reading a post from some player who'd logged onto it, gotten two nice swords from a vendor, tapping out all his resources, and then had some jackass player come along and break them both before wandering off laughing at him.

Another fun tactic was for someone to run up right next to you, and have their buddy nail you with a disarming shot from out of reach, then they'd scoop up your weapon and log off.

You haven't been keeping up with the news on that game, have you? Its not really good to judge a game without playing it. If you followed the news of the game, you would know that the multi player is being developed by a entirely different company, so that the single player mode can be focused compeletely on, so that the story wont take a backseat. The developers stated that they plan on making the single player their main focus for Bioshock 2. As for the multiplayer itself, it cant be judged until its played, but it doesnt seem like its going to just be tacked on.

Samurai Warriors 2.
Fix'd that for ya.
Gears and Halo were MADE from their multiplayers.
Halo and Gears were not made for multiplayer besides maybe Halo3 at a push. To an extent they are multiplayer but in no way made for multiplayer as especially there system of weapons ie weapon pick ups is dated and should be done away for modern multiplayer shooters unless it is made like an old style shooter which they will never be as people can't seem to play unless their health regenerates or they have a ready healing item at their disposal(well I say this in most cases there are excepts where games you don't regenerate neither do you have handy healing items).
