I have to agree. Deus Ex did many things right, hell, I can't think of a single game released since that allows the player to manipulate the story and events within the game to such a degree Deus Ex lets you. I remember chatting with a friend about it awhile back and he asked what I did at a certain scene, I told my story then asked what he did, he told me, and my response was 'Wait, you can do that? Holy shit!' even though I've played through the game twice before.Onyx Oblivion said:The internet shoved Deus Ex down my throat when I got Steam. DEAR GOD, the concepts are awesome. Sadly, the execution hasn't aged well. But it's aged better than Perfect Dark. I can't see why you play THAT...THAT...abomination...every day.
You need say no more. EVER. You are officially on the "Awesome People" list.Rodyle2 said:my favorite numbered FF is 5.
STOP BEING SO AWESOME. Seriously. STOP THIS.Rodyle2 said:I love that the Tactics series is basically Fire Emblem (my favorite series) with a Job System.Onyx Oblivion said:You need say no more. EVER. You are officially on the "Awesome People" list.Rodyle2 said:my favorite numbered FF is 5.
I adore that job system...And any game with something remotely similar.
You aren't far off. It actually has a nearly perfectly tuned battle system. A terrible story. Not that big on tits, though.Rodyle2 said:I haven't played X or X-2. I'm told that X-2 is just TITS TITS JOB SYSTEM TERRIBLE STORY. Given what I've actually read of the story and mechanics, I'm willing to believe that.Onyx Oblivion said:STOP BEING SO AWESOME. God damn it, what's next? You gonna give FF X-2 the credit it deserves for it's job system, too?
You can always run it in DOSbox unless it requires win 95 or newer.dommyuk said:Don't forget the translation, I think that's the worst part.Hazy said:Final Fantasy VII.
From a merely graphical perspective, it looks awful by today's standards. However, the soundtrack, like Gun's, is quite nice.
I'd have to say Outcast, because it won't actually run properly on modern computers. That's the problem with running on an engine that relies only on the processing power of computers of the late nineties. It's a shame, because that game is fucking awesome.
Also the first two Elder Scrolls games.
Thanks for telling me that, though I'm still sceptical about it. I'll do a bit of research into that. The Madman said:Outcast was just released on GoG, works perfectly on new computers.dommyuk said:Don't forget the translation, I think that's the worst part.

Are they? I played through it recently and found it fine. Did you turn the speed up?Hristo Tzonkov said:CNC:Tiberian Sun.Now damn this game aged horribly for me even with the graphics mods. Most of the missions seem slow and annoying...I just ruined the wonderful memories by playing it recently. The movies are still enjoyable and worth playing just for that. The controls are shit tho most deffinately although I could just be spoiled with other more recent cncs.
Yes, but I meant aged in that they're quite buggy and have very awkward interfaces. I can't Arena to run at the proper speed either.Xaryn Mar said:You can always run it in DOSbox unless it requires win 95 or newer.
