Games can change you, sometimes permanently.

For me, it was Planescape: Torment. What can change the nature of a man?
The game taught me a lot about human behavior. Consequences of actions, even ones done by heroes.
And in the end even if we escape our fate, we still have to answer to ourselves.

Well I don't think a game has changed me as a person. But I have learned a lot about history playing a few games. Hell most of my WW2 knowledge comes from video games haha.

Ocarina of Time. Before that, I wasn't really into the whole fantasy thing.

Actually... I think playing that game pretty much turned me down the road to geekdom.

EDIT: GAH! Ninja'd!

And I played it when I was 6, too.. weird.

That's kind of creepy. Same for me. LoZ: OoT when I was 6, I got into videogames because of it. Hmmm.

Little Big Planet made me realize that originality doesn't pay in the intertainment industry.

Unless you make a Metal Gear Solid themed level or one with a rocket rollercoaster, no one will glance you're way.

Final Fantasy VII.

Got me into adventure gaming and, weirdly, got me to read books.

Majoras Mask. After finding it in my older brothers N64 when he was gone, I was playing it for hours on end. Brought new light on a genre sentience had shaded from my memory.

Assassin's Creed. This might seem unusual, but it taught me a few lessons about human morality and what people will do for what they think is right.

Bioshock taught me more about philosophy and corruption. And Final Fantasy VII had an impact on me as well.

Chrono Trigger. Before then I had never played an RPG and I was more of a casual gamer, after I'd sink 12+ hours a day into video games some days, and it's still #1 on the list of games I've played
