Dear escapist have you ever played a game that insulted you.It could be intelligence wise or just calling you names.Heres an example i was playing Shadow Of The Colossus and just as i'm about to strike the final blow and kill the monster,the game all of a sudden say "hit the glowing mark on the head"which is what i had been doing for the last 5 min.
So has a game ever insulted you.If so how and what game was it.

Ah man, I loved Shadow of the Colossus, but the "helpful hints" that the game throws at you like that really do annoy me, espeically if it's blindingly obvious what I have to do or, as you said, I have been doing it.

I think one of the ninja gaiden game called the easy difficulty "ninja dog" which is a little degrading to new players

Also, Batman: Arkham Asylum directly insults you when you die. Joker's face comes up and he makes witty, funny yet extremely infuriating remarks.

You know that ninja dog is a dog trained like a police dog? It's not a nice way of saying "noob".

Besides, it's still hard as hell, despite the name.

i got a few

there was F-zero GX when you crashed to many times and it would say "retired" but the way and speed it said it sounded like it just called me a retard.

smash bros whenever you failed a challenge and you'd just here "Failure"

resident evil and i think dino crisis as well saying "you are dead" like you didn't notice.

i've also head that DDR can be very insulting shouting "you suck" and the not so likley "never play this game again".
