I cried at the end of HL2: Episode 2, and... I think that's it. Came close in the second and third Legend of Spyro games.

None. I don't cry easy. The only thing that's ever made me cry is the Scrubs Episode where Dr Cox accidentally Kills 3 people. But!

Here's hoping Heavy Rain will do the Job when I get it :D

I heard a lot of people cried at the end of MGS4.
Ugh.

I've never cried because of a videogame. I did shed a tear when Kate died in NCIS, though.

Only two things have gotten me close to shedding a tear. When Sgt. Johnson died (WWWWHHHHYYYYYY?!?!?!?!!!??) and Tali's loyalty mission (The voice work was done beautifully. They got the emotion through masterfully).

Seeing as I'm a man, I can't cry, but...

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.... That game shows how you end a freaking game...
This and the "I hate you dad" scene and ending of Final Fantasy 10 NEARLY SORT OF ALMOST got me.

Umm...I think when I was a kid I did something stupid and my mom started spanking me with her shoe while I was playing Nintendo....I started crying, so does that count?

The question is quite simple: Has a game ever been so emotionally touching that you just couldn't hold the tears back? And why?

- Just recently I played through Bioshock 2, and to my surprise it was one of the best stories I've seen in a game so far. I would probably go as far as to say that I liked it better than the story in the first game, but I don't mean to start a flame war here, so I'll leave that for now. Regardlessly - I found Bioshock 2 to be so incredibly touching that I did shed a tear in the end.

Get the tissues ready, the sad face goin' and leave a response!
I say it's too early to bring up how good BS2 was, people are still on their power trip hating the game for MP and simply being a sequel to begin with....0o

Maybe from a quest in Dragon Age, where...
Arlessa Isolde, Arl Eamons wife, must kill her own son Connor because he was possessed by a demon.

I had to load a save before it happened, after it happened and do the "another way". I just couldn't take it :C

I have never actually cried as in real tears as a result from a videogame. But there have been several times when I've had a lump in my throat and just wanted to start howling.
The most memorable is FF7: Crisis Core, in the ending. It's probably the best deathscene in a FFgame, and there's not a lack of deathscenes in FF.

Wouldn't exactly call it crying, but a few games have brought a tear to my eye.
MGS4 and Valkyria Chronicles are the guilty ones!

Dragon Age Origins and Mass Effect on my first playthrough of each. I was incredibly attached to the characters. That is the only reason I can think of.

Bioshock 2 didn't make my cry but holy hell does the evil path make me feel bad. "You wouldn't ever hurt me, would you daddy?"

OT: FF7, FF9, and FF10. I'm sure there are more, but I'm really I giant pussy when it comes to that sort of thing. Books movies games, anything that is done well can and probably will make me cry.
