I've never cried over a game, which is pretty weird, since tons of movies and even a few books have gotten me emotional. Maybe I just don't play deep enough games.

Agreed. That ending was really hard to watch, I felt so bad for him. :(

Xenogears...
during the flashback of the battle between Nisan and Solaris, when Shevat betrays Nisan and Sophia rams the Solaris ship to allow Lacan and Krelian to escape... and later causes them to go insane searching for power.

Breath of Fire III...
When you kill the first boss and it dies on its feet trying to protect its dead cubs.

Final Fantasy IV...
Palom and Porom sacrificing themselves to save the rest of the party in Baron Castle (which lost a bit of its cachet in the ports when you can heal them).

Persona 3 for both sadness and joy.

The ending made me tear up so bad.
Also, Shinji's death, which turned to tears of happiness when he lives in Persona 3 Portable :D

Grim Fandango. Its the only game I have ever played that actually has a story with deep characters I could really sympathize with.

The latest game that had my eyes running like faucets was Persona 4.

They kill off your little sister. She's like seven years old, the cutest, most innocent character ever in a video game. She gets sick, spends weeks in pain laying in the hospital while you convince yourself that everything will be fine. Then you get a call, that she's gotten worse... you get to the hospital, and she dies...
This one hit very close to home for me since IRL, someone close to me got cancer and died in exactly the same fashion. Even the room looked the same.

The Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Sacrifice ending made me bawl like a baby.

Probably because I had spent like 50 hours running around with my Warden, and watching them kill themselves for the greater good was just heart wrenching.

Metal Gear Solid 3's ending. Then Chapter 4 and ending of MGS4.

But then I'm damn susceptible to tearjerkers.

Well, two games made my eyes a bit watery and shed at least one manly tear.

Infamous 2's good ending and Half Life 2: Episode 2's ending.

I actually cried when in FF7 that love interest girl dies.
Final Fantasy VII made me cry, too.
I think it was the only game that made me cry.
I was desperate the whole day after Aerith was killed by Sephiroth and was looking for a possibility to revive her. And I always was sad while being in the Sleeping Forest or Forgotten City :´(
Yeah. I remember not accepting her death for days, while looking everywhere for a way to get her back and generally not caring about the story or the other characters very much.

Probably the best role playing I've ever done in a game ever. *group hug*

I don't usually get emotional while playing a game but surprisingly I shedded a tear or two in Tsubaki's Bad ending in BlazBlue: CS.
She dies in her best friend's arms.
There was also the time when in Mass Effect 2 when Garrus on my game got killed in the Final mission cause I cocked up team selections, while I didn't 'Cry' per say I was very close to it.
Another time was not tears of sadness, but tears of HATE when I played Dark Sector, it sucked so much that after an hour of playing I took the disk out and decided to use it as a coaster for my coffee mug.

OT: To this day, one of the most emotional scenes I've ever seen is when Dom finds Maria in Gears of War 2:
I shed tears here to mate, not of sadness but of laughter.
It was SO obvious she was dead or going to die at the begining it wasn't funny and Dom's constant whining made me want to slap him stupid.
Also he was constantly suppose to be made out as a badass of a meathead yet he was like "Awww, Dom sad now", which all in any drama in this scene was killed 10 minutes later when in combat he yells out "FUCK YEAH! SWEET! GET SOME!" etc etc.
I pretty much cry of laughter whenever I play Gears because EPIC never could get emotions down, take that other retarded meathead Marcus Fenix who is set out to be a brooding anti-hero but always seem to act like hes at Spring break when in combat, Wooting like an idiot before the battle ends saying shit like "It never ends, grrrr"

Atleast Ben Carmine the stays consistant through out the game until his easily seen death, shame, I liked him.
I'm gonna have to agree with Sarukin. It was so over done that I don't understand how people didn't see it coming. The scene itself is really quite well done, but the build up ruined it. I did think that the one Gear's (Tal or something like that) was pretty unexpected and hit home a lot better. Didn't make me tear up but had way more of an impact than Maria on me.

Red Dead Redemption made me tear up a little.
Mass Effect 2 gave me a similar reaction but not my playthrough, everyone lived for me. But watching a playthrough where EVERYONE died was horrific.
