Right now I can only think of:

BIT.TRIP RUNNER, I cried of anger. Indie games are the kings of frustrating puzzles.

Aaand Amnesia: The Dark Descent, because I scream like a little girl whenever I feel something following me.

Never before or since has a game made me care so much about a stock victim in fifteen minutes of screen time.

I haven't yet played a game that could bring me to tears, but there have been quite a few games with very emotional moments. For some weird reason, most of them happen to be japanese games. The ones I'm about to mention isn't the entire list, but just the ones I can think of at the moment:

Throughout the entire game, you get to read about the certain events that happened to the main character Kaim (an immortal) over the course of thousand years. He has lost most of his memories of his past, but certain events or area's bring those memories back. These memories are then told to you in text form, accompanied by some incredible music. There are many, but I'll just provide two examples.

I really need not provide any information about this. You've probably heard this a thousand times already, but the entire series as a whole is an incredible tearjerker.

I know, I know. A lot of people hated this ending for it being ridiculously sweet. It's exactly the ending I was hoping for however. After learning the horrifying things that happened to these kids and the fact that they ended up being the biggest victims of a corrupt community, seeing the image of them surviving, growing up and leading a peaceful life of their own was perfect.

Bioshock 2 is an awful game, but the neutral ending is very well done IMO

Totally.

No tears but I did feel really fucking bad when I finished Jade Empire as a closed fist character.
First, I take away the free will of all my friends and companions, then I kill all my friends and companions, then I kill God... then I become God. Was it worth it............ totally

Didn't cry per se but was choked up at the end of Assassin's Creed Embers, watched after finishing Revelations. Seeing the character we've controlled in the last 3 games(literally from birth) pass away, along with the scenes with Altair as a old dude, were pretty emotional, not to mention well done. The end for two of gaming's most iconic characters and at the same time a new beginning.

The Bastion part where
Zulf is dead and you carry his body while being shot at, with Zulf's theme of "Mother, I'm Here" made me quite teary.

I had another one I cried at, but now I've forgotten what it was. I'll probably edit this post later when I remember.

I've never actually cried at a game (or movie) but this is the saddest scene in my opinion. I know a lot of people will disagree but...

I've seen loads of people saying things like "the story doesn't matter on Gears of War. You only play it for the action!" But personally I loved the plot and this scene nearly made me cry huge manly tears. Maybe you have to play the whole series, but I played as this character throughout the other 2 games. At least he went out epically.

Embarrassing to say but Nippon Ichi's - Puppet Princess of Marl Kingdom (Rhapsody.)

First you learn the secret about Cornet's puppet companion Kururu
Cornet is from an ancient race that put souls into puppets, making them live.
Cornet's mom died to save her daughter and her soul is in Kururu.

and then the ending.
Cornet defeats her enemies and marries the prince. The soul of Cornet's mom leaves Kururu and says she doesn't have to look after her and worry about her anymore and drifts off into heaven happy.

Better stop. Starting to cry just writing the spoilers.

Thanks for reminding me of this. I was expecting a "big name" character to go but this really caught me off guard. The way it dissolves into 'Mad World' is genius.

The end of Professor Layton and the Unwound Future made me tear up. It is pretty depressing.
when i first got to that scene, i sat in the corner of my room for half an hour, just in that almost crying state, other that that bastion (zulf) and CoD4, when the nuke gets dropped,i am really skeptical of war games, and that scene....

Now an amazing thing for a game is for it get you emotionally invested in the story, some even mannage to get the audience to cry (doesnt include crysis cause it killed your computer). Now the only game that i know has made me cry is the ending to mass effect 2 overlord dlc.

Does anyone have a game that made them cry or at least shed a tear.
that made my cry a little. perhaps the hight of david's misfortune is that he was highly autistic his entire life, he never lived a normal life. and then he ends up in..in...*sniff* THAT.

Dragon Age 2 nearly did just before the second last boss fight if helping the mages. I had romanced Merril and took her with me on the fight and her and Hawke's conversation before that fight really hit me hard. I mean, I've heard other romantic conversations like that before in games, but DA 2 really drew me into its world.
