Are there any games that were so emotional that you shed a tear. Maybe the death of a main character.

For me it was in Shadow Hearts: Covenant when Yuri sees Alice. He tried so hard and yet... I think i cried, or at least came very close.

The only game (or movie, rather) that got me close to tears was Metal Gear Solid 4, during the final cutscene. Specifically, the part with Sunny and Otacon at the wedding. Poor Snake.

Ummm...
I can't remember.
I think I was a tad upset when
Guppy dies in Robotech Invasion. She pushes you out of harms way and gets vapourised. and somehow screams while non-existant. I think this event can be avoided, as there are 3 different endings to this game.

MGS3, Kojima the soulless bastard made us pull the trigger on our own mother, we actually had to press the button to fir in order to continue.
The monologue about her being remembered as a traitor actually made me cry. Saddest monologue I've heard in a game.

There was one bit near the end of Kingdom Hearts that hit me pretty hard. When you finally arrive at Hollow Bastion and find that Riku's beat you there, he exerts his will over the Keyblade, manages to take it from you, and convinces Goofy and Donald that it's he they should be sticking with, not you. After losing your trusty weapon and your partners, you're left with nothing except the toy sword you began the game with and a lingering sense of self-doubt.

I don't think I cried, but I remember being genuinely upset.

I didn't cry but was close to when Eva left Snake at the end of MGS3 and he found out she was using him from day one. And the end of MGS4.

The closest I came too was HL2 Episode 2, the end bit (not going to spoil it, if you're that determined go and search youtube). Got a large shudder, no crying.

I don't know about crying, but the end of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time brought me pretty close to tears.

EDIT: Oh and the guy above reminded me about Episode 2. I was actually really f*cked off, I'd of happily just beat the living shit out of that advisor with a box. Was truly sad.

I may get hated on for this, but I cried when Johnson died in Halo 3.
He was a likable character. people could relate to him.
I'd be surprised if anyone could relate to a 2 meter tall armoured killing machine (exception being Vrex360).

Felt sad at the end of Grim Fandango when Manny and Meche had to say goodbye to Glottis. That was ages ago though.

Someone was in before FFVII, and while it didn't make me cry, it came the closest any game could.

I am a super bad ass man. I never cry.

I think I cried at the end of Shadow Of The Colossuss. Saddest game ending ever, in my oopinion.

The only game that's ever really caught me emotionally is Okami, it was so touching when Issun told the story so that people would believe in Amaterasu that it brought a tear to my eye. Which literally no other game, movie, or media in general has ever done.
