Farcry *sniggers at the sly joke*

In all serious I can't think of anything in a game that has made me cry, the only things I cry at are real life things

Are there any games that were so emotional that you shed a tear. Maybe the death of a main character.

For me it was in Shadow Hearts: Covenant when Yuri sees Alice. He tried so hard and yet... I think i cried, or at least came very close.
:'-( Me too!

I may get hated on for this, but I cried when Johnson died in Halo 3.
Why would you be hated on? He was totally awesome.

OT: No game yet, unless you can count the absolute turgidity of Dark Sector making me shed a tear on behalf of good games.

MGS3, Kojima the soulless bastard made us pull the trigger on our own mother, we actually had to press the button to fir in order to continue.
She wasn't your mother, but this. Also, the end of MGS4.

I think I may have shed a tear at the end of Dreamfall: the Longest Journey. But that's pretty much the only game that's ever had such a profound effect on me.

My memory is a little hazy, but I'm sure she admitted she had you on the Battlefield, and that you were taking by the Philosphers.

I don't know about crying, but the end of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time brought me pretty close to tears.

EDIT: Oh and the guy above reminded me about Episode 2. I was actually really f*cked off, I'd of happily just beat the living shit out of that advisor with a box. Was truly sad.
I cried at the end of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. That was a great game.

The ending of Kingdom Hearts one when Sora finally gets to see Kairi again and they both get separated by the dissolving of the worlds. I was like fourteen at the time, but I was bawling from that. He had been trying so hard to save her just to get ripped away like that.

The Prince is definitely one of easiest characters to sympathise/empathise (can't remember which ones which now) with. Can't think of that many characters in any media that I've seen/played/read that have been fucked around as much.

Oh man, I had completely forgotten about that. It was terrible 'cause that's how the game starts and then it's so good it sucks you in and you just forget then suddenly it's the end and you remember and there's that song by Magnet, Nothing Hurts Now, playing over it which gets me every time.
