I didn't cry but was close to when Eva left Snake at the end of MGS3 and he found out she was using him from day one. And the end of MGS4.
That coupled with Snake at Big Bosses grave, the man was truly alone.

The closest I came too was HL2 Episode 2, the end bit (not going to spoil it, if you're that determined go and search youtube). Got a large shudder, no crying.
Eh, I saw that as overrated, mainly because I found HL2 did a pretty poor job at making me give a shit for the characaters.
This isn't an opinion forum... just stating games that brought certain people to tears almost

I didn't quite cry during the death of a certain obvious character in Final Fantasy VII, but I was depressed for like two weeks. I cry a lot more often since Clannad broke me emotionally though, so maybe if I played it now things would be different.

Near the end of the Fallout 2 main quest, I had retrieved the fabled MacGuffin GECK and made it all the way back across the goddamned wastes without a car to Arroyo, fighting off ambushes of Deathclaws, mutants, and Enclave troopers. After a year of this epic journey I had lost two of my party: Sulik, who had been with me from the beginning of the game, and Cassidy, who was by then a crack shot with his rifle.

I got into Arroyo, and I was dumbstruck. Everyone had been captured and the village was lost. If there is such a thing as crying with rage, then that is what I did. To rub salt in the wound was the miraculous appearance of another GECK inside the Enclave Oil Rig, which I believe that was the game's way of pulling the middle finger. Funnily enough, I love Fallout 2 and it will forever remain in my top ten video game list.

I haven't cried from a game, but the strongest emotional hit I've taken in a game is in Bioshock after you kill Andrew Ryan. The full "the game has played you" brilliance of "would you kindly" completely registering paired with Ryan's "A MAN CHOOSES! A SLAVE OBEYS!", his last grasp for control over a dream that had completely turned on him due to the very nature of the dream itself made me feel like shit.

She isn't your mother - she is ocelots mother.

THe first game I remember making me cry was FFVII, when, yes, Aeris died.

However, I seem to get a tear in my eye at least a the end of most games with a plot. The one that comes to most recent memory was while I was playing Tales of Vesperia, and the ending.

Im a real softy for happy endings lol

Not really. But really to be fair the only movie that has ever made me cry is Cool-Hand Luke, so I'm too great about crying at this stuff.

I have to say in Kingdom Hearts 2
first when Roxas disappears and then when Axel dies.

I was so sad! I loved those characters.
