When I played the first Devil May Cry way back when. The combos I could pull off made me feel like a huge unstoppable badass. First game I ever played to have that.

The second DMC though....man, they missed the boat on that one big time.

I always love playing Soldier in TF2. Doing particularly well just makes me feel awesome.

Imagine this: a guy with a Rocket Launcher smashes his way through the front line and slaughtering all who get in his way so that his team can pour in through the hole he made and proceed to spread out and kill anything that isn't caught by the one-man army.

Playing a good round of TF2 make one feel like an utter badass, whether you're speeding around as a Scout, lighting swarms of people on fire as a Pyro, setting up an impenetrable wall as Engie or just being credit to team in general.

Pulling off a 50+ hit combo in BlazBlue as Lambda is also incredibly satisfying. In fact, any solid combo in general makes me feel great.

Mass Effect (any of them) on Casual. Massacre All The Things! good way to blow of steam. Actually most games on easy. And DEFCON, because there are NUKES EVERYWHERE. even losing is fun if your fire all the nukes simultaneously.

Jet Grind Radio makes you feel like a badass. Can't think of another game where you take out helicopters and assassins with spray paint.

Playing as an evil character in Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer. The ending was great, one of the best evil endings ever.

I'd say Warhammer 40k Space Marine. You really can't be any more bad ass than an 8 foot tall cybernetically enhanced, genetically modified, power armored warrior monk taking on an entire army of space orks and heretics with a giant chain saw sword and a fully automatic rpg launcher. And you don't regenerate health by hiding behind wall sucking your thumb, oh no. If you want your health regenerated you got get out there stun some poor sod and execute him in the most violent way possible. There should be a demo for it available on whatever platform you use.

I just finished the entire Myst series.

Games Two through Five all have feel-good endings (maybe less-so with four, but I digress), but for the love of God don't get the bad ends. Unless you hate sleep. Plus, if you really like solving puzzles, you can feel like a totally DIFFERENT kind of badass.

And the Myst MMO has a couple accidental badass moments in it (I just fell a hundred feet, landed it and think nothing of it!).

Starcraft 2 fit the bill significantly better, but I like talking about Myst. :p

Dead Space 2 has some bad ass moments and a very satisfying ending IMO (although you won't fully get it unless you've played the first one.)

Alan Wake has one of the most bad ass moments in all of gaming in it, although the ending is good, it leaves some things open ended. If you're on Xbox, the American Nightmare Xbox Live Arcade Episode wraps up a lot of that too. I honestly just can't recommend Alan Wake enough. It would have been my 2010 game of the year had it not been for Mass Effect 2.

Also the final two levels of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare always made me feel like a bad ass. And even though everything goes to hell at the end, it is very very very satisfying because of what they let you do.

I was playing Bad Company 1 online way back when...
It was a game of rush, I was defending, and we had just lost a base and getting pushed back. There was a bit of a road to the next base, and on the walk there, I decided to hide in a bush next to the road with my rocket launcher. Sure enough, an enemy humvee came by shortly after. I jumped out and shot at it. The rocket hit it dead on, it shot up into the air and did a flip, landing on it roof in flames.

I felt a weird mixture of Batman from that one scene in The Dark Knight and a terrorist.

Recently, I guess it would be while playing Dark Souls. Wait wait, hear me out. Yes, the game's bosses makes me its ***** as a regular occurrence, but I always feel like I've accomplished something when I take it down, or when I'm cruising through lower leveled guys with a battleaxe killing them all in one shot when it used to be difficult to kill even one.

OT: Demon's Souls. Okay, I don't know if the ending is good, as I've yet to complete the game, but this game has you feeling like a total badass when you kill a boss/a tough enemy.
Pretty much these.
There's no better feeling than when you crush that boss that's been torturing you for so long.

Arkham City because you're THE Batman
you're always six steps ahead of the enemies and not to mention once you master combat you turn into a god like fighter, no wonder Superman is scared of the bat
