S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl
Walking down that underground lab corridor to get to the surface when you turn around and "the controller" warps your vision. :S

I can only imagine what was going through her head. That game is only a few steps down from eroge.

Edit: Also, welcome to the Escapist. Stick to the rules and no one gets hurt. Enjoy your stay! (Cool Vivi icon)

Fallout 3.

There were some choices in the game that really made me think about my moral standing.
I'm not comfortable with a game making me look that deep into myself just to solve a quest.
Any examples come to mind, cause for me it was great, but the choices seemed to be split into "Kill and blow up everyone/thing, then rape the ashes. With AIDS.", "Make everything perfect and happy and rainbows and unicorns and fairies and pastel-coloured.", or "I abstain, can I have 50 caps now? Thanks, bye."

But as for games that give me a weird feeling, ehh, I'd say the empty feeling I get when playing GTA 4, makes me think about how maybe each game is an alternate universe, and I'm killing people there, and that's unnerving while bludgeoning some grandma's face with a bat.

Gears of War. I just felt like such an imperialist. The fact that none of the characters batted an eye when told to commit genocide made me feel dirty.

Silent Hill 2. Such a creepy game with the weirdest atmosphere and pacing ive never felt more uneasy in my life let alone playing a game. Great game though by the way

Bioshock.

"I'llll wraaap you in a sheeet... <3"

Sander Cohen did it for me. I was in a dank bathroom and I had the bright idea of blasting one of the plaster statues with a shotgun.......

*runs to corner*
Fort Frolic is by far my favorite area in Bioshock, they really fuck with your head at that part.

OP: I don't remember which vault it was but in Fallout 3, the vault where the screen will ocainsonally turn purple (Thought something was wrong with the game disc the first time) and enemies appear out of nowhere, scared the ever-loving christ out of me.

EDIT: Forgot, one section in Silent Hill 2 in the courtyard of the prison section where this ambient noise makes me think something is right behind me, I can't play that part it grinds away at my sanity.

Oblivion

Where you have to kill the old lady living by herself in the middle of nowhere on a tiny little farm. Then steal her birthday gift list. Then use it to track down and kill her family.

It's just... wrong.
I do it every December.

Does anyone here have any games that make you just feel uncomfortable when you play them?

For me, it's Half-Life 2. Don't get me wrong, I really like it, and it's a fantastic game, but...I dunno, when I play it something just doesn't feel right. Was that intended? Maybe it's the headcrabs...

So, what games make you feel uncomfortable when you play them?
The ones that poison you...that sound they make...my skin crawls.

As much as I love Counter Strike, I hate being one of the last players left and have everybody shouting at me or writing to me to say where to go and what not.

Agreed, I use the SMG grenades. Yeah it's overkill but that's my reaction to something that scares me that bad.

Tales of Symphonia

If i sit down and force myself to actually watch most of the cut scenes, I feel incredibly uncomfortable. I feel embarrassed to be playing the damn game.

Hm, I sure have been bashing Tales of Symphonia a lot lately. Don't know why.

Ha! Same.

That or I go batshit and unload the full clip in their direction.

I tend to hit them once after they are dead to make sure. Don't want them zombifying on me.
