The Sims series, plus slower-paced builder games like SimCity 4 where at any point you can just watch your city go about its business without being forced by the game to do anything else.
Easy, it was a game on Steam called: Osmos. Amazingly relaxing music, brilliantly appeasing visuals and a relaxing physics based gameplay mechanic. Ahhh..all the woes are going away.
GTA: Vice City, cruising down the highway blasting 80s music (Flash FM FTW). Or San Andreas, flying around in a Hydra listening to classic rock. Just so very relaxing.
Runescape. It's surprisingly nice to find a place where people are doing something that doesn't need a lot of attention and strike up stimulative conversation while doing something productive at the same time.
I can't really say why, bit Mirror's Edge has a very relaxing effect on me... The soundtrack, the city, and Faith, create an experience that can be quite soothing.
