Yea, as said before, MW2 is probably one of the most rage-inducing games ever made, but god-damn if it isn't fun.

Also, Starcraft 2's MP is starting to grind my gears.

Fucking. Marauders.

OT: Still Life. I was so pissed I almost got out my french dictionary to curse at the developers in their native language. Funny thing is, the rage quit inducing moment was the actual ending of the game when
you do not get to know who the killer was you were chasing the entire game!!!
So actually quitting was kind of a moot point at that stage. But I surely uninstalled the sucker totally enraged!
While I never finished Still Life 2 (I got freaked out by the timed puzzles, and I HATE Saw-style torture), apparently, you find out who the original killer was.

OT: I don't rage quit.

To be honest I can remember any game from the last gen that make me rage quit, or even from the previous gen. I did reage quite when I had the nes, but I guess I learnt to control myself

Metriod Prime 2. Specifically the Boost guardian. Fuck that bastard. Fuck him with a screwdriver.
This really tickled me!!

Do you mean that bug-type thing in the castle, the games prologue? If yes, ever tried to stun it with the bells?
No, it was actually near a village just after the prologue, you end up fighting these dog things, then eventually get attacked by King Dog-Thing. On anything above 'easy' it had a random special attack that could stun.

Now replace the word 'random' with 'around 2/3 of the the time'.
And replace 'could' with 'will always'.
And replace 'stun' with 'cause emotional rape'.

Battlestations: Pacific at times.

I don't so much quit during games as I do just stop playing it for stretches at a time. What makes me do it is the completely asinine backlash I get from assholes with superiority and entitlement issues when I kick their ass. I also get bombarded with hate mail and whining whenever I mop the floor with someone.

Here are some of the messages I have to deal with
[hr]
Some dickbag who didn't pick an unlock said:
Oh, you're a noob for using jets!
Yes, but those jets circumvented the entire map, snuck up behind your offensive front line and took out your only operational aircraft carrier, stranding you on a small island in the corner of the map away from anything else.

Some idiot who left his ships and bases without air cover said:
You're using Kamikazes you noob!
Well those kamikazes just sent 4 cruisers and 3 destroyers to the bottom of the ocean in one fell swoop.

Some spammer who never realized my units were better than the ones he was picking said:
Quit camping on that headquarters!
So I'm just supposed to open the doors to my base wide open so you could walk in and take it. How about I also drape the base up in welcome banners and whip up some margaritas?

Somebody who didn't read the manual said:
Your tactics are unfair
True, but they achieve unprecedentedly positive results for me. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

Another person who didn't read the manual said:
You must be cheating because your units are invincible.
It's called "Hardened Armor" and "Evasive Maneuvers". They make your units temporarily invulnerable. You have to take supply bases to get them. Read the fucking manual before playing.

A butthurt said:
I never use jets you noob!
Maybe that why you didn't win.

Someone who picked an unlock without thinking first said:
Stop spamming torpedo bombers!
Only when you quit spamming battleships.

Another butthurt said:
You can't play unless you're the Japanese and probably leave the room if you can't.
I play as the Japanese because I am more in tune with their units' strengths than the US. If I do so need to play as the US I will, but for now I need.

A low-raking player with a superiority and entitlement problem said:
You only host games so you could lure other players into a trap.
No, 90% of the games I play, I host because people like you can't take it upon yourself to check your internet connectivity before creating a room with the max number of people allowed.
[hr]
I get messages like these all the fucking time because people can't accept the fat they lost. And no matter how many times I play the same people over and over they still continue to call me noob because I pulled a move they didn't anticipate and took advantage of their weaknesses.

It seems no matter what tactic or units I use, genuine, superior strategy is always marked off as cheating or noob tactics.

Modern Warfare 2. I'm relatively certain anyone who has played it long enough will know why.
The unbalanced spawn system, campers, boosters, tac-knifers, horrible team balancing, +++
Yep, MW2. Though I don't rage quit. I can get mad and then just put away the controller for a couple of hours/days or just play another game.
But when I do get it right, I can play for hours and hours.

I can't do it. I just can't rage quit (in multiplayer, anyway). I just feel like I would be throwing my toys out of the pram because I'm losing, so I stick with it (and sometimes claw a victory from somewhere).

I can happily rage quit single player though. If, for example, I'm attacked by an army of bears on Red Dead every time I try to go anywhere... Or MW2's favela level on veteran.

Civ 3 was the only game I've ever stopped playing because of rage. One too many tanks died to a spearman to deal with it anymore.

I don't play MW2 anymore, but I wouldn't be able to if I wanted because of the patch that broke the game. Yeah, my side of the connection my ass. Let me get back to you once I'm done playing a few hours of L4D with perfect connection on a 360 that's been running for three days.

I never understood these kind of complaints. If it was put into the game it is not cheating. The developers put it there to be used. If they think it's unfair they would remove it from the game.

I rage quit during every game at least once. Let's see though. I've raged quit on Final Fantasy X more times then I can count. After a while you're up against bosses one after the other and every single one is extremely hard. Still managed to kick that games ass in the end. Great game.

A recent example is Megaman X4 final boss. His last form is soooo rage inducing. I still haven't managed to beat him.

I don't know if it's a rage quit, or just a despair quit, but Actraiser 2 has very few checkpoints and a limited number of lives, so when I lose my last life to a boss in that game, I usually don't feel like going through the whole experience again.

God of War 2 induces some rage quitting when I'm playing on Titan. The bosses are extremely boring to fight, due to the time sink that goes into doing a reasonable amount of damage. Theseus is especially aggravating due to the fact that you must farm magic in order to damage him. Also, on Titan he has a one-hit kill that makes you start the process all over again.
