Games that NEED a sequel

Yes, yes, a million times "yes." The story just wasn't meant to end at that. Hell, they even tease a sequel (Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Redemption?) in a sanity effect! Not to mention the fate of Mantorok and the mysterious fifth (yellow) alignment.
Too bad Silicon Knights are too busy making Too Human for Microsoft, not to mention the titular sanity system is patented by Nintendo.

Advent Rising - great story and music, very promising as a trilogy, unfortunately the game wasn't well received by the critics, had some bugs and so didn't sell well and the producers went bankrupt so no second game, a shame since it had one of the best stories I have yet to see in any game

Saying Advent Rising had "some bugs" is like saying New York City has "some roaches". That game was almost unplayable. Constant lock ups, frame rate drops, corrupted saves, weird physics problems. The tragedy was that underneath all that, it would have been a good game with a terrific story and excellent music. After my third attempt to finish it ended with a 3rd corrupted data though, I just watched the cutscenes on youtube and downloaded the soundtrack.

Am I the only one here who wants a sequel to Chrono Cross? Not another rerelease of Chrono Trigger, I own three versions now, thanks Squeenix and Square of the past. A genuine sequel to Chrono Cross.

Also, Sea Dogs. Sea Dogs 2 was repackaged and released without bug cleanup as the first Pirates of the Caribbean Game and it had the same problems as Advent Rising. Had it not been for the bugs, I'd have ranked it much better than Sid Meier's Pirates.

Dunno, guess it depends on which version you played, I played the PC version and except for the enemy at the end not changing depending on the choices you made during the game (although it should have ) I only encountered 1 bug, and that was in 3 full playthroughs

Apparently Bethesda aren't working on TESV yet, but they certainly plan to continue the series.

ok ppl i know this would not be a sequel, but i think square enix needs to remake the bouncer and ff7 with the kingdom hearts battle system. i don't care if the battles are fucking random, if i could just have 3 character be automatic and wail on sephiroth and tons of other enemies it would be worth it. just as long as i could play with 3 characters in battle switch between them with the click of a button because i want to us final heaven with tifa in new graphics

I wish that someone would finish the G-Police series, Weapons of Justice left on such a cliff hanger, but the studio closed down :/.

Also Alter Echo seems like it needs a sequal since it left off on a nice little hint that there would be one.

ok and i kinda want to see replay megaman legends and i thought megaman zero was the shit and that ds crap sucked. i wanted the zero story to continue. megaman battle network died when it was replaced by megaman starforce. complete bull shit games

NiGHTS into Dreams needs a good sequel, NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams was a real let down. At this time of year I regret selling my copy of Christmas NiGHTS.
