Let's just see if BioShock 2 can live up to my non-existing hype.

left 4 dead 2 was for me... the 1st one was so chaotic and fun but the 2nd one has absolutely nothing new to offer... it was boring to say the least... i didnt even finish 3 of the levels
(i mean the full ones not stages)

this really should have been an add on...

Mirror's Edge but it seems like I'm not the only person who says this experiment was a failed one. Other games which were unable to stimulate my neural fun-cortex despite hype and my own growing anticipation include:

Infamous

Prototype

Orange Box [the second time around: After the 360 died I got the PS3 version and the lack of trophies was just tip of the proverbial ice berg for me]

Diddy Kong Racing [a game I literally buried in my subconscious]

Final Fantasy Tactics [referring to the GBA port]

Final Fantasy X [and ten-2 ... Final Fantasy was never meant to have direct sequels]

Kingdom of Paradise [on the PSP]

Death Jr

and many others I can't even remember

I'd have to say Fable 2, Halo 3 and Ghostbusters off the top of my head. They just never lived up to hype, previous greatness or even what seemed to be promised by developers

Do people really hate Bioshock? I loved the first one, I made sure to beat it when I rented it last week. On the hardest difficulty possible, and even got the happy ending.

anyone OT:

Battlefield 2 was a major disappointment for me... I guess I couldn't get over how awesome battlefield 1942 was...

Either that or I couldn't figure out how to fly those super fast jets since I was so used to WW2 styled fighter and bomber planes.

Practiced by myself for like 4 days trying to just get used to them without crashing into the nearest everything! After that I just gave up... :(

Mass Effect. Everyone said oit was a deep RPG with tough choices. That was a big disappointment.

Bioshock.

I'm playing it right now actually. Everyone is making such a big hoopla over Bioshock 2 that I figured I better get with the times and play Bioshock, but I'm sorely disappointed. The further I get into the game, the more perplexed I am as to how people actually liked this game. To each his own I guess.

Mass Effect gets an honorable mention as well, just not as good as people made it out to be.

Where to start...

GTAIV. I just got bored. Once I opened up the middle island I lost interest. None of the charecters were likable, the tasks seemed pointless and repetative and the combat was poor.

Operation flash point DR. Too many bugs, only two maps for multiplayer and poor match making. It could have been amazing as well.
