What the Hell? MW2 was twice as good as MW1, although Black Ops was a step down.
OT: Star Wars: Force Unleashed 2. There was just no need for it. The first one was OK, but Starkiller and Juno had nothing in terms of chemistry, and the fact that he was a clone the second game killed what little credibility the plot had, and was just publishers desperately unleashing (no pun intended) another game on the defenceless gaming industry. All Lucas Arts are doing now is wringing the franchise of pennies and respectability.

If New Vegas is a DLC then it is the biggest DLC in gaming history.

But of course it is a DLC if it has more quests and factions than Fallout 3, not to mention a differnet setting, different factions, more weapons, new game mechanics, more grey morality, a completely different plot with branching choices (something even F3 didn't have) and not to mention hundreds and even thousands of play (replay) value.

And of course I can't forget the "little new elements" such as;

*Iron sights
*Special VATS melee attacks
*Special Unarmed attacks that can be learned
*Different unarmed attacks
*Survival - and everything that stems from that (e.g. campfires)
*The companion wheel
*The fusion of small/big guns
*New speech system that isn't luck based
*Taking normal damage in VATS instead of only 10%
*Perks every other level
*Traits
*Weapon mods
*Companion perks
*The ability to become homosexual
*Nerve
*The reputation system
*Gambling
*Hardcore mode
*New animations
*Changing the character's age (useless, but a nice addition)
*Challenges
*Medical implants
*Unique weapons now have unique designs
*Damage Threshold
*Night vision
*"Dumb" dialogue
*Ammunition creation

And if that isn't enough, I could bring out my ol' wall o' text regarding why Fallout: New Vegas was a good game compared to F3 and deserved to be released.

Also...
Fallout: New Vegas. It looks like a re-release with little new elements. Simply could made as a DLC.
I could be interpreting that wrong, but it sounds like you haven't actually played the game.

And if it is a DLC, then it's probably one of the only (or few, I'm not sure) DLCs to ever have DLC released for it.
I finished the bloody game, don't worry. All I'm saying is, they could've add more then sights, weapon mods or selecting what would your companions do in combat.

Sonic the Hedgehog 06. I had fun with it at the time, but god it is embarresing now
Indeed. But then again, if it didn't exist, we would not have gotten all all those awesome tracks.

Every Sonic game after the master system.. apart from Colours. I love Sonic Colours. I wish Limbo didn't exist either, it's so horribly awesome I simply have to play it at least once a day.
Erm... I believe you meant "Mega Drive" or "Genesis". Though, I would strongly with your above opinion. For me, it's every console-game between Sonic Adventure 2 and before Unleashed (not counting the handhelds)

I wasn't going to bother an argument. What point I was trying to make was that, in a sum, the rushed game that is Melee is better comparable to an unrushed Brawl, which leaves it as a backwards delusion.
A backwards delusion? I don't get what you mean by that. All I know is saying that Melee was rushed and Brawl wasn't, in defense of Brawl is a really weak point.
What point I am trying to make is that, usually longer developed games tend to far better than shorter developed ones, for obvious reasons. But we all know that's not always usually the case. (see Duke Nukem Forever)

Delusion was probably not the best word to describe that situation. Apologies.

And I'm not defending Brawl. I think Melee is much better than Brawl as well. I was just making a statement about the development time of each game, its changes, its outcome and reaction by players.

Duke nukem forever obviously but my main choices for games that shouldn't exist are most movie games, barbie and bratz games, games related to pop stars, my little pony games (this is not a shot at bronys since I doubt they like the MLP games), etc. Very few people buy games like what I mentioned so their existence is pointless not to mention games like those just suck.

Custer's Revenge - 'nuff said. Yes, I can hate on 30-year-old video games for being shit.
My thoughts exactly, what the bloody hell were they thinking when THAT idea came along?

-Sports games as a genre: If you want to play lacrosse, hockey,or football...Go play it yourself. If you can afford the console and game, you can afford to play for real.
There's the little issue of real sport often being exhausting and an overall waste of effort on the part of nearly everyone concerned.

Plus the only sport-like activity I have any real interest in is pro wrestling and the medical expenses that would be racked up if I tried doing that in real life right now would probably kill me. Plus they do explicitly tell you "don't try this at home" so my hands are tied.

OT: the 2008 Prince of Persia. Yes, I loved this game half to death but it just didn't need to be there. All it did was inspire hatred and if they'd built a new series off of it maybe it would have served some purpose but as it stands it's like the drunken uncle of the franchise. You have to love it, but you just don't want to think about it too much because all you can think of is the potential it wasted.

...leave alone a story that worked for its seriousness and sadness, instead of making a cheesy, happy fan-service spin-off.
I've seen opinions like that regarding the first arc of the new Higurashi anime series.

On topic: Red Alert 3. As far as I'm concerned, they completely ruined the Allies and the only good part of that game was the Empire of the Rising Sun.
can i just ask why? i love red alert 3, i loved the campaign, i loved the allies the most, the empire of the rising sun was the faction i most disliked, because i felt they had only 2 strategies, shogun battleship sea dominion, or chopper VX early spam.
I think it was the game's style that put me off; it seemed a bit too colourful and loopy compared to Red Alert 2. Maybe I was too harsh saying I thought they ruined the Allies, but their units and support powers just seemed worse than the other two factions. That, and I missed my prism tanks :p.
I agree with missing the prism tanks, and yes it wasnt as dark as red alert 2, but the gameplay was smooth, i loved the new mirage tanks, i liked how every unit had a support power aswel as its main function, to me added more strategy to the game, i did like the coolness of the japanese faction, but to me it was everything they had that felt weaker than the other 2.

I could literally write pages on all the aspects of red alert 3 i like, on how each of the factions compare to each other, in each stage of technology, why i would pick each faction and strategies i would use to win, and probably a strategy for each game map, ye i overplayed that game, and on the Xbox aswel, i found the controls really easy to use, and went really well with the controller. I know alot of people would argue with RTS on the consoles but i found it easier to use on the xbox than my laptop, oddly enough, and if i must be honest the best rts/rpg ish game i ever played was on a console and it was kingdom under fire.

Also which support powers didnt you like? the time bomb was the strongest of all support powers, the added airforce power was awsome, freezing was extremely useful in combination with the surgical strike to kill buildings/a few tanks instantly.

And when it comes to units
Peacekeepers>Imperial soldiers>conscripts
Attack dogs=bears> scout drones
Rocket men>flak troopers vs aircrat<flak vs tanks and flakShinobi> Tesla troopers
Tanya>Natasha>Yuriko vs buildings
Natasha>Yuriko>Tanya Vs long range enemies
Tanya>Yuriko>Natasha Vs infantry swarms

Sorry il end it there, i could go on all day but you get my idea, im not saying your opinion is wrong im just showing how i formed my opinion of the factions =]
Yeah, that's fair enough. I think I didn't like the airstike power because it never destroyed anything I used it on in one shot, but I think that was just because I used them mostly on buildings.

Any Athens/Olympic games also. Those are some really awful games, and a complete waste of time.

Probably Minecraft. (Kidding of course) In all honesty im surprised by the amount of people choosing Fallout 3 and Oblivion. These win game of the year for a reason, kiddies! I think WoW is. It has nothing going for it, and its more of a lifestyle than a game. I find myself highly unrewarded by that repetitive experience of killing to get better stuff to kill some more.

Oblivion, that unimmersive, bland, bug ridden piece of sh... well, waste of money that is.
Only way to make it even remotely enjoyable is by heavy modding (good luck with that, console players).
I respect your opinion but you are a fucking moron

hmmmmm..... well i'll say pikmin 2 and elebits 2.
Pikmin 2 made me want a pikmin 3 which might never happen STOP TAUNTING ME NINTENDO!!!
Elebits 2 because it wasn't a real sequel it was just a bland adventure game.
And on a side note
I never really liked Final fantasy style i much preferred the Tactics games but well actually back on topic.
Final fantasy tactics 2 and 3. There just not as good as the first one. 3 has a GOD! awful skill system (The only game that i know where the main character can be max level but not have mastered his class).

CoD and Halo. these games encourage mass sequelage and a loss of originality. also, they brought douchebags into the gaming scene, and nobody likes douchebags. (sorry, caffeine guy)

Edit: Also all those bass fishing pro games. 'Nuff said.

Good lord, I agree. Why would you play a fishing game when it's about the same as actually fishing? And fishing is generally boring anyway? I don't know why I never mentioned it before.

THIS FUCKING GAME.
The game that pissed off legions of Silent Hill fans. The game that I gave a fighting chance by playing through TWICE, with an open mind. The game that left me exhausted with frustration and rage. The closest digital equivalent to being interrupted in the middle of sex...

People wrongfully blame F.E.A.R. and Dead Space for killing the survival horror genre. They didn't because they were NEVER SURVIVAL HORROR GAMES. Homecoming was the final nail in the coffin. Action didn't kill horror, bad horror killed horror.

*Weeps slowly into handkerchief*
AND NOW THEY'RE RE-DOING THE VOICE ACTING IN 2 AND 3!
*A BLOO BLOO BLOO!*
