Games that the majority like but you dont!

I couldn't get into Disgaia (got the PSP version). I plan to try again, but the combat system didn't grab me.

Back in the day, I seemed to be the only person who thought (the original) Mortal Kombat was a steaming pile of shite.

There are games others have mentioned such as Super Mario Sunshine, which I also hated, but I was under the impression the majority thought that was shit too.

Fallout 3. How the fans multiplied in my friendship group, their little chattering mouths' annoying me with lies. Argue it out with them and you can get some concessions of "okay, it had problems". Will they agree it is shit no matter how many awful things you point out, the blatant rips from oblivion? Nope. Damn that game is loved by so many.

The Orange box (with TF2 being the exception). I beat every game in it (except for TF2) and didn't care for it. HL 2 I felt threw me into the middle of a story and left me there. Portal other than the humor was a major turn off since. I can appreciate what they did with it but I am not big into frustrating puzzles that I know what needs to be done but lack the precise timing to do it. So you can either accept the fact this is my opinion and nothing you can say will change it. Or you can spam this thread telling me how wrong I am and how I must be a Halo fanboy (which would be wrong since I found Halo 3 to be average at best)

Kingdom Hearts. I tried so many times to get into it, but I couldn't stand by and just accept the total personality changes and new looks on the FF characters they just had to include.

Halo. It's fun once in a great while for a party when no one can think of anything else to play, and even then I'd rather play Left 4 Dead or Warhawk

I can understand how Half Life 2's puzzle gameplay helped pace things out but seriously solving those puzzles was a chore. It bored me so bad and no matter how hard I tried to like it more and more faults kept popping up that hurt my enjoyment. I really WANTED to like it but despite the charm of Alyx Vance and the ever loved Vortigaunts I found myself loosing interest. Also the Half Life fanboys bashing me for liking Halo helped alienate me a fair bit.

Call of Duty, I don't get it. World War 2 shooters never intrigued me I guess because I like fantasy not reality and therefore don't 'dig' war shooters. Plus I wanted to point out that these days more shooters play like COD then Halo yet the latter is always the one that is accused of being generic. I had fun for a while but seriously.... I couldn't stay into it.

Devil May Cry and indeed most hack 'n slash games. With the exception of Otogi myth of Demons I never really got what makes these so special. I mean I can see how they would be fun and enjoyable but most of my experiance with them comes from someone else hogging the controller and making me watch so all I see are the same things again and again.

Sports games. I hate sport that's why I turned to gaming as a substitute for entertainment. Sport followed me, I said:
'go away'.

I am somewhat of the opposite with the Halo Series.

Unlike the majority, I don't absolutely despise it. I don't adore it, but I don't hate it.

Well, in the last 20 minutes it is Mirrors Edge.
I want to like this game. It's fresh idea and it looks great. But this is the 5th time this week I've tried it and it turns out it's just a fucking ****.
I've turned off the sixaxis, taken the sensitivity right back and it still insists on chucking me off the fucking pipe on the first level EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME!!!. In real life I'd crouch to lower my centre of gravity and get across . But noooo, DICE decided that Faith would try and stand up and cross and give her all the balance of a pissed toddler on a 48 hour drug binge.

I'm also trying to enjoy Mercenaries 2: WiF. But asides from some fantastic sound effects it's a bag of arse. If you've played the first, you've played this.
