Actually pretty much any game with a social component CAN in theory get you laid if you meet the right girl in your area. In general any game you play alone won't contribute to it one way or another (except reducing your chances due to playing in solitude), however people (albeit odd people) have met and even gotten married through games like World Of Warcraft and other MMORPGs, not to mention various online games with a strong co-op component.
Truthfully though I have noticed a tendency for "online multiplayer" to be less about meeting people today than playing online with people you already know. It's increasingly difficult for a genuine "nub" to meet people to game with never mind score a signifigant other purely online.
At any rate, MMOs and online communities are relatively good for this, which is why you have so many child molesters and such occasionally being nailed for trying to pick up girls online through such game systems (some like Gaia seem unusually infamous for it). Then of course you've got the flipside of the various online girls who use games to try and extort cash and favors from people. Sometimes outright camwhores (ie they get you to come flirt with them on their site with video) othertimes totally text based (though a camera oftentimes gets involved to prove they are really girls).
Indeed one of the things you'll quickly learn is that Amazon.com wish lists are not so much so your relatives know what to buy you for Christmas and birthdays anymore, but more commonly so you can buy things for your "virtual girlfriend" without ever meeting her.
Try doing a search for "girl gamer" sometime.
Understand I haven't been burnt this way before, but I know enough people who have where I'm somewhat jaded.
Still, the interwebs is a haven for sexual predators for a reason despite how that sounds. People do pick up chicks, or land jailbait that way... or wind up as a special guest star on "To Catch a Predator".
