You don't deserve to call yourself a "gamer" if you havn't played this.

Great story, richly drawn characters, smart writting, well balanced strategic elements, and it's fun as hell. But yet no one bothered to give it a chance because it's an FPS set during WWII.

Sure it's hard as hell, but coming from someone who couldn't care less for racing games, I had a blast playing this

Deliciously violent.

I'd go with Fable 2. I ignored some of the hype and found it enjoyable.

Also Viva Pinata. Just because it's a kids game doesn't make it poor to the 18 year old kid who plays it.
Agreed on both counts. Pretty much anyone who hates Viva Pinata has never played it. Unfortunately, I've seen far too many people pass it up in the Used section for Turok or some shit.

Welcome to a lot of my gaming library. xD I play a lot of off-the-wall unheard of/unpopular kind of titles.
Haunting Ground, Rule of Rose, Obscure, Drakengard, and Koudelka. Those are the ones that stick out in my mind.

All of those have a very small fanbase (if you can even call it that, for some) and all of them except for Haunting Ground got poor to very mediocre reviews.

What kind of monster hates Killer7?
Me. Just because your art style stands out doesn't mean it's a good game.
Killer7 really was one of those "like it or hate it" kind of games. However I fucking loved it, and not just because of it's art deco mind you.
But simply it's one of the extremely few games out there that actually goes out of it's way to explore what a game can be. Killer7 is one of those games that says that a game doesn't have to have grissled white dudes, space marines, androgenous teen agers with shitty hair cuts, tee-bags, or any other familiar aspects of games to actually be, well, a game. Infact, it's practically impossible to state just what the fuck kind of game Killer7 is (an art house game maybe?). Still what ever it is, Killer7 fucking rocks!

Now don't go thinking that I'm trying to make you like the game. Your opinion is opinion. I was just giving you mine.

I could see why people like it but I never really enjoyed games that are way to wacky. Plus cell shading isn't my thing :/

OH! Encahnted arms comes to mind as well.
I didn't mind that at all either.
Did a few things different to other Rpg's. Not the best graphics or story, but an enjoyable romp nonetheless.

Runescape.
My friens hate it cuz: "Its bad graphics and bad combat animatons".
But thats not all a online game is made of, people that turns it down at once miss the great humor and the overall greatness of the game.
Phew, had to get that out.

Probably TimeShift. It's one of the few games I've played 5 times over and I still love it. What it lacks in originality, it makes up for in just being fun. The plot sucks, the hero is the (overused) strong silent person. you're against (wait for it) an evil oppressive government. What makes it fun is the weapons and the time shifting. Yes I know time control is overused. Time Shift perfects it though. I could explain all of it, but just get the demo.

Mount & Blade. See people? This is an obscure game that got below average to mediocre reviews. Not mainstream juggernauts that got 5 stars and game of the year titles from everybody but your circle of friends. Halo 3? Fable 2? OBLIVION?! COME ON!
Lol so true!

Mount & blade is a good point.

I'll add Red Orchestra and Dwarf Fortress.

Awesome games adored by their very small fanbase but unheard of or hated by those who tried it.
