That would suck for me cause I have a couple brand new ones that I've been trying to wait and sell on ebay then the price would most likely drop.Fightbulb said:Not trying to be a dick, but it really is an awesome game. It's not that hard to get to run on a PC though, if you know what I mean.roblikestoskate said:Cardfighter Clash for NeoGeo Pocket.
I've always wanted to play Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and any of the Darkstalkers games. I never got to play them because I never owned a PS2 or a Dreamcast, and a lot of fighting games don't even make it to Europe. There's been some talk about Marvel vs. Capcom 2 coming out for XBL and PSN though, excited about that.
What about Vista? Will it work on that if it works on XP?Terramax said:http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sanitarium-Game/dp/B00001X5CG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1230570035&sr=1-1plastic_window said:I had this game on my computer a long time ago called Sanitarium - adventure game, can't find it anywhere - and I just want to play it so badly. Same with Grim Fandango, I can't find the damn thing anywhere but online and even then it's not new so I'm not sure if it'll be reliable.
Make sure you buy the 1998 updated version that makes it compatible with XP.
Yes that is indeed one hell of a game. So very, very underrated.
As for Grim Fandango, it's temperamental on XP. It does usually work though.
For me, it's all the shmups for the Dreamcast I didn't get to play. Especially Giga Wing 2. i loved the first one.
Then there's Virtual On for the DC. I've got a new and sealed copy but I don't have no Dreamcast now.
Most Japanese RPGs I think about. I'll never play them because I'm fed up of levelling characters again and again for each one.
They didn't go bust, they just stopped making games because of the whole "new IPs are too risky" thing that happens in gaming.Dunhill808 said:Abe's Exodus, I got to play Odyssey, Munch and Stranger but never the second Abe title. Shame the company went bust
Same here except for playing the original. For some reason my mum did and I won't really bother to ask but the other game I can't stop thinking about is Fallout 1. I've gotten the third one and really like it compared to the other but I can remember that I was trying to kill The Blades gang member only to get stopped by the man wielding a hammer...Well that and I liked that it actually let you kill the children who only stopped running when you started firing at them.Ace of Spades said:Fable 2. I played Fable: the lost chapters, and it was quite fun.
Not to rub it in but it's darn good, I actually have that with 4 games and a NGPC that I'm thinking of ebaying.roblikestoskate said:Cardfighter Clash for NeoGeo Pocket.
Then you wont like Fable 2, same thing happened to meAce of Spades said:Fable 2. I played Fable: the lost chapters, and it was quite fun.
If you ever do don't play Clear Sky,Spartan Bannana said:First it was Bioshock, but I ended up playing that, now, it's STALKER. I want to play that game so much, and I think about it alot, but I don't think I'll ever play it.
Wait, what?plastic_window said:They didn't go bust, they just stopped making games because of the whole "new IPs are too risky" thing that happens in gaming.Dunhill808 said:Abe's Exodus, I got to play Odyssey, Munch and Stranger but never the second Abe title. Shame the company went bust
Man, steam is selling it pretty cheap now probably, all the dawn of war games including soulstorm is $30 on steam.shatnershaman said:Dawn of War: Soulstorm. I want so much but I can't find it for less than $30 (I'm not spending $30 for two extra races.)
I'm not saying they fear them - they're financially very risky. Gamers are fanboys! They stick with what they know and they're not willing to spend a lot of money on things they don't trust. And Oddworld didn't want to keep any of the formulas they'd devised in previous outings. I mean take Stranger's Wrath. Oddworld were SUPPOSED to be busy finishing the quintology but instead they decided to do a completely different story with barely any characters or locations from the old games. That doesn't make buisness sense but it makes creative sense.Mercanary57 said:Wait, what?plastic_window said:They didn't go bust, they just stopped making games because of the whole "new IPs are too risky" thing that happens in gaming.Dunhill808 said:Abe's Exodus, I got to play Odyssey, Munch and Stranger but never the second Abe title. Apparently Dead Space, Mirrors Edge, Left 4 Dead, Castle Crashers, Mass Effect, Braid, Portal and a few other things are all apparently sequels. Also I'm pretty sure all of those mentioned games earned a lot of praise especially Mirrors Edge for being something new at least.
So I don't think that developers still fear new IPs, if anything they enjoy it.
