The Halo trilogy has a great premise and so does GeOW, and I would be surprised if no one was starting to get deals in to get the ball rolling.Tanner fool said:

My vote is for Mario, but it's already been done. Maybe not the best idea for a movie, but if you're an old-school gamer, you'll like it. It's great in an old-timey kinda way. Sure, the acting was crap, but you got to see a grown Italian man jump on Goombas. OK I'm probably one of the few Halo fans that has gone far enough to research this. There is in fact going to be a HALO movie coming out in the next year. Imdb has the official information, which i discoverd PETER JACKSON is producing it! So far the news is negative, what with the delays and budget problems, but Jackson promises it will get made. BTW The movie involves the Halo 1 story, I personally hope they include a bit of "the fall of reach" since its my favourite.
Now for the unofficial rumors about the cast. Master Chief is not just getting a voice over, i've heard rumors about Russel Crowe. Ed Harris may be Captain Keys (sweet). I've also heard rumors of Jessica Alba and Samuel L Jackson. like i said these are just rumors so don't get your hopes up!
BTW The so called "Halo Movie Trailer" on youtube is just a Halo 3 trailer, only the giddy should fall for that.

theres one Problem wth this kinda thing some games are't ment to be made in to movies UWE BOLL I'M TALKING TO YOU! Take GTA IV Story wise it could comepete with a Martin Socrsaze ( I Apologize if I misspelled that )movie but I don't thank the story could be told any other way but in a Game now other games like the ones Ivprevesly Stated could be be something especily Bioshock since theres talk that Gore Verbinski was sit to direct it and I'd like to see what he could bring to the world of Rapture so ....ya there you go
I think games can make great movies, we just need people who will do it right, thats why I'm glad to see people like Peter Jackson taking an intrest in game movies.
I would personally like to see a Halo movie, a Half life movie, and although there have been about a thousand war movies done, Call of Duty 4's plot I think could have been a very good movie.

Honestly, Final Fantasy 4. Long movie, maybe a three-parter, but Final Fantasy 4 is probably the best choice to make a movie for as far as the Final Fantasy series. That and 8. Both good games that would be great as movies.
They're already trying to get money for a Halo movie, but honestly, the Halo games feel like movies in themselves. No need to make a new movie altogether unless it follows Sgt. Johnson instead of Master Chief (who is obviously not as cool as the Sarge).

Yeah, I can understand you thinking that, but those movies were often placed in the hands of the incapable. Also, people's expectations were way too high.Resistance205 said:
