Also a modern remake of XCom one of the best strategy games of all time. You could keep all the base management and researching. For the shooting down UFO's you could make it a flight sim. For the ground missions you could make it a tactical shooter.

I don't think the battles should be abandoned completely in Brutal Legend. You could make them like the battles in Dynasty Warriors so they'd be more epic. Also you could use a system like they do in DemiGod to spawn your troops.Trifixion said:

I would like to see current-gen remakes of the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. from the MSX. I feel like these stories should be reinterpreted and retold in a grand fashion to bring them into perspective with the rest of the series.
Another game I'd like to see, though possibly harder to flesh out a real story for it, is a modern retelling of the original two Gauntlet games. They weren't much more than quarter-eating arcade fests but I'd like to see them redone with a more faithful fantasy premise (not like the silliness of "Legends" and "Dark Legacy" or the bland linearity of "Seven Sorrows") than the last couple installments.
As far as sequels go, I'll list them quickly:
Phantasy Star V - (A traditional RPG set to the original games' setting. NO Online component!)
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 - (To conclude the original Sonic story and setting before it was retconned for Sonic Adventure.)
Pit-Fighter II - (A great beat'em-up from the late-80s. There was a prototype for a sequel but it never came to fruition.)
Time Killers 2 - (An obscure ultra-violent fighting game by a dev team called Strata. Always wanted a sequel.)
Mutant League - (Preferably a Soccer or Basketball installment)
Streets of Rage 4 - (A prototype was made for Dreamcast... I wish it had been made.)
Legend of Zelda III - (to conclude the the story of the original 8-bit games like they had planned some years back as the "Triforce Trilogy")

A game about alien space vampire Nazi pirate zombies who attack you using inflatable toys who you fight with laser weapons and pointed sticks.
That. I liked the first half of the game, but the second have when the whole game turned into stage battles was a bit of a let down. I wouldn't have minded one here and there, but after the first one, that was pretty much all you did.Trifixion said:

New Company of Heroes with Japanese and Soviet armies (Yes I have played the Eastern Front mod and it's very well done.. But of course, it could be better)

And I agree with Stormcloud23 about a Boondocks Saints game. Not linear to the film(s) but involving the same Catholic murderising. Haven't seen 2 but I got the first film soon after it came out on DVD and I love the fact it has other fans!

This over and over. I never got what was going on seeing i was only young when i was playing it so it was just pretty much shoot as much as possible and stamp on little people. And then all i remember is the blood and sand level which was a like "Wtf" moment for me lol. But yeh, Defiantly thisreg42 said:
