Anybody who has a decent taste in 3rd person shooters will agree with me when I say Metal Arms: Glitch in the System. The only reason that game didn't sell very well is due to the fact Halo: Combat Evolved stole all of it's thunder.

If Swingin' Ape studios were to be reformed under a new name, or perhaps with the permission of the original IP creator, that game would sell very fast, and very well. I'll admit I owned the Gamecube version, so I am not sure if there was any online multiplayer component to the PS2 or the Xbox version.

However, an HD remake could bring the possibility of a completely redone multiplayer mode, while still remaining true to the original playstyle that made the game so much fun for me. The soundtrack was kickass as well.

I mean, just listen to this:

Here is also a trailer for the game towards the time of its release date:

Seriously. I want to see this game brought back. Either a sequel or an HD remake, I don't care. It is a gem of the last generation, and a damn shame that it sank into the muck of forgotten memory. Metal Arms: Glitch in the System is something that the gaming world needs at this point. Too many gritty shooters and realism flooding the market.

Bring back Glitch I say!!
Man, that game was AWESOME, the split screen mulitplayer was so much fun to play with friends.

Fist: Why not make a Fallout type game on another planet and make it survival based. Indigenous Alien that want to kill you, finding food and knowing what's edible or not, Tree and colors. Could be far better then the whole Fallout Franchise.
I like the fallout idea with a different setting. I loved the perks and the huge amounts of skills I could level up, speech, barter, big guns, small guns. I was better then the old Strength, Intel, Agailty, Health... boring.

Also the fallout franchise is super awesome. Fallout 1 and fallout 2 were the BOMB. I made a character who was super smart and got extra diaglouge options and invented a cure of Jet. Then I made a really stupid character who could comunicate with other stupid characters intellegently. So awesome. So So awesome

I've always had an idea for an awesome game, where you play as a raven/crow in a huge town or city open world populated by regular people.
It'd have a huge vertical ceiling and a real focus on the animations, especially flight. You could fly anywhere, land pretty much anywhere short of a sheer surface and you could interact with the world as only a bird can.
As for the story and such, it'd be a pretty Disney-esqe affair, with only other animals able to understand each-other.
When it comes down to it, it'd almost be a current gen Dog's Life, but with birds.

There'd also be a poop button. 'Nuff said.

Neverwinter Nights 3.
Hell yeah on NWN 3, but not the lame MMO they're working on.

How many times do game publishers have to get ***** slapped by blizzard before they figure out that trying to knock down WoW is just stupid?
mmo wtf it will probably be shit like that eberon mmo, what they really need is a single player solo game where you control a party and a dedicated server with options to let others join your groups where you only control 1 character and theirs get imported and as long as the engine is good, the game isnt buggy, and the game play is fun we would continue to pay for expansions for the next 10 years

I'd love to see a proper space epic, based on Peter F Hamiltons novels: http://www.peterfhamilton.co.uk/index.php?page=commonwealth
Or an open world game based on Discworld.
id love to see either of those made or a fallout type game with space battles style known space game since everyone has got to love fighting giant cat creatures and genius killing machine monkeys in various locations including a ring the circumference of the orbit of planet earth with its own sun at the center that it uses as both propulsion and a giant plasma beam

I would like a fallout that used more trippy experiences, like in the sacred bog in point lookout, new location, or at least more than one location, (offworld is good) but an expansive set of character limitations would be good, why not let you switch characters, how about fighting the good fight as a super mutant, not just a smoothskin!

You know what else I'd like to see? a 3D beat 'em up that actually plays like Streets of Rage 2. I'm not sure how that could work, but I think dynasty warriors might have had a good start towards it.

1. lessen the health bars on the enemies
2. make the stat growth less crucial to the game
3. smarter AIs, less enemies, more enemy types. Dynasty Warriors basically came down to soldier, archer, officer, and while the officers come in like, 600 flavors, fighting them kind of feels the same all the way throughout. The AI design on these games tend to be pretty lazy too. Most of the time "harder" just means longer lifebars, and bigger numbers, rather than say, more advance AI. (compare to say, the SOR2 AI, where on the hardest level, they have only a scant extra 20% health, but even their lowest level thug will surround you and mob you to death)
4. smaller environments and easier targeting controls

of course, they've already done that with Yakuza, and I thought that was great. the only problem was that Yakuza is not that conducive for multiplayer. I would like to see a game like that where they strip it of it's complex narrative, and just let the players get to action and beat up guys.

A good sequel to Gauntlet Dark Legacy, that or a new TimeSplitters games, by far the best FPS imo, or at least in the top 3.
Especially Gauntlet: Dark Legacy...I had a load of fun with that. Also a sequel to Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2...if there is a similar game that exists (I know only of Sacred 2 which I love) tell me now! Finally, a PS3 Twisted Metal remake of Twisted Metal 2. It was my favourite of them all! Also I'd love to see a Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, a DC game of that style (possibly a Marvel vs DCU in the Ultimate Alliance style of gameplay) and Mirror's Edge 2. Also, ANOTHER SKIES OF ARCADIA: LEGENDS!! Please oh please!

Well, to keep it away from being sued, they would have to change some things. Perk and Skill would change name and fonction. What good is bloody mess when your hunting.

It was dull to be honest. I never got into that whole turn base action/action points thing they made with both 1 and 2. Beside, In both game, you are thrown into a combat situation from the get go. I did play many type of character but I could never open dialog with Radscorpion no matter my Intelligence.
Then I made a really stupid character who could comunicate with other stupid characters intellegently. So awesome. So So awesome
Paradox Alert. How can you be Incredibly stupid yet having Intelligent conversation with another Retard. Anyways, while the game story and setting was fantastic, it's the gameplay that lacked. Likewise, it's Story and Setting that bring Fallout 3 / 3.5 down but it's gameplay who's fantastic.

An open source Freespace 2. OWAIT! http://scp.indiegames.us/

Well, you didn't say unreleased only. But just in case, i'd like a privateer style star wars game. Like this http://vegastrike.sourceforge.net/ but with STAR WARS! I dare you to tell me that wouldn't be awesome.

I'm liking the parallel universe spin on things, perhaps a multi-time-layered outworld?
That should extend game play for millenia.

Oh man, that game was awesome!

Funny story, while working on the sequel, Swinging Ape Studios was bought by Blizzard and set to work on another game. Starcraft: Ghost.

OT:

Fund it.

Cello apocalypse: the game, you start out using a violin to fight the cellos, but then you buy upgrades like better music or blades to put on your violin, so that by the end of the game you can play Schubert's Ave Maria while slicing through cellos and basses.

That or Bully 2.

A pirate-themed open-world RPG co-developed by Bioware (story, characters and style) and Bethesda (free-roam overworld/map and perhaps combat? but im ok if Bioware does the combat too!)

I can dream can't I?
