Really only Starcraft 2. I used to play it a little, and the first week of it's release it was hilariously awesome....and then people began actually using good strategies, and I stopped winning. However, watching competitive SC2 can be very entertaining, especially if it's being casted by an entertaining person, such as Total Biscuit. It's really the same reason why people watch sports instead of playing them, because they suck and watching people who know what they're doing is really impressive and fun.

Other than that, yea, I prefer playing games. I've tried to watch let's plays of single player games and whatnot, and I just can't do it.

Amnesia.

Watching it was entertaining, playing it was bad for my health.
Cosign! I wanted to see what all the fuss was so I watched the videos, but if I hadn't been able to scream and wiggle around all the time it would have been unbearable (and hearing the player nearly crap himself the entire time helped too!) Fun to watch but way too traumatizing to try playing.

Really shitty games. Especially if the LPer can make it all funny.
Have you watched ChipCheezum's stuff?
Nope. I'll look it up.
I reccomend the one of 50 Cent blood on the sand. Between mocking 50 all the way through, they poke fun at plot holes and wax philosophical on the problems inherent in segregated urban enviroments (no, really).
Also, Basically just look for games that interest you here:

Lparchive is a bastion of high quality in the sea of shit that is the LP community.
Thanks for the advice. Watching ChipCheezum's Gunstar Heroes LP now.

I think you should check out Penguinz0 on youtube, he fits that description perfectly.
Will look up now.
The LP archive is great; I'd also recommend Resident Evil 4 by Maxwell Adams on there 'cause all the players have a good funny back-and-forth (they're a snappy and likeable bunch) and I think it's a really watchable game.

Horror games (Silent Hill, Amnesia) and pro games, like StarCraft. I'm quit bad at playing scary games, but like to watch them, and I'm not quite good enough at StarCraft to play it a lot.

eh mostly horror games, I absolutely love watching anything/all that is a "horror" movie(s), however when it comes to games I either get really bored or realize how retarded it is to continue as it makes no sense for me to go in there/down the hallway, so mostly I just watch horror games online and have quite a bit of fun doing that i suppose.

None, but my mate will happily sit and watch me play
(tho she does watch the mini map in games like Fallout NV and scream when a red dot appears!)

None. I like games for their interactivity, I never watch people play unless I'm stuck and I'm looking at a walkthrough.

Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, because they're beautiful games that I love to watch, but playing them myself would mean buying a console which I refuse to do. It would also involve me having to use a controller, which tend to cripple my hands.

Marvel vs Capcom 3.

I had the game for a couple of weeks but, while I enjoyed the game for a while, I hit a point where I just couldn't get any better. However, I went through a short phase where I really enjoyed looking up matches between "professional" players. They are freakin' insane at the game and most matches I watched were intense and strategical from start to finish.
Same for me. It's so much more fun to see them play it, especially when they improvise counters etc.

Dirge of Cerberus. As a shooter, it's pretty lacklustre, but in terms of story and eye candy, it's awesome. In fact, I can say for definite that watching it as a movie is better: I found all the cutscenes put together as a YouTube video set. Sat back, watched and enjoyed.

None, I've never found myself not wanting to play a game over watching it, just seems wrong. Then again not a fan of watching games at all, even speed runs I find boring. I just watch clips to see where bonuses are that I can't find for love nor money, like some of the vault-tec bobbleheads in FO3

Horror games are more entertaining to watch than to play. The suspense is usually too much for me. I've found that watching my brother play the MGS series is acceptable also...considering that it's half dialogue anyways, that's not that surprising.

Someone made a 'movie' from heavy rains gameplay on youtube so i tried watching it, i got bored after less than 10 minutes. Only gameplay videos i can watch are the ones with funny commentaries, like 'Freemans mind' for example.
