Dead space, bioshock, and the saw game have all made me jump, though i wouldnt say any of them scared me really... i blame all the horror films i watch for desensitizing me.

Thief: Deadly shadows
The first time I went on that damned boat (forgot it's name) full of zombies. They sound so creepy!

Title says it all. I would say for me, it'd be Donkey Kong 64. Why? Those freggin' caves and enemies respawning out of no where to scare you. That and K. Rool.
Yeah, the temples with the "GET OUT!" voice from Angry Aztec still creep me out.

The original Doom still has the power to make me revert back to a quivering child at certain places.

Ocarina of Time right before the water temple....scares the crap out of me cause it's always so frigging difficult.

as long as we're not talking about games that are trying to be scary.
otherwise it's eternal darkness all the way.
Once I went down a ladder, with my sanity meter low, and went to the end of the level, and then it teleported me back after ten minutes of playing saying "This...can't...be...happening..." and it was all an illusion. I would've been more pissed off if the game hadn't been so good at thoroughly pwning me.

The original Resident Evil scared me out of my pants. Looking back now at how cheesy it is, I definitely feel a little shame.

:D Actually I kinda know what you mean, that game was hard back in the day

I don't think there are any games that I'm afraid to admit I'm afraid of

Condemned is scary >:O

Fallout 3 scared me for about the first day or two I had it, and those zombies in the Ocarina of Time gave me quite a scare (hey, I was 6). Other than that, no other game I can remember has scared me.

Barnacles in Half-life 2 scare the hell out of me so i can't play it anymore.

Erm, headcrabs are quite freaky, esp if you don't have a ranged weapon.

Doom 3 is freaky as hell, i particularly hate Pinkys

Fallout 3 can be freaky, but its not too bad

Painkiller, in particular the town level. The background noise is terrifying and when I played it my sister was in the room and it scared the hell out of her. Its a shame the game hates Vista/7 and newer GPUs(Sadly boss fights have horrible shadow corruptions on anything newer than 2006 hardware)

Erm, Resistance 2 when I fell in the water in the beginning level and the alien thingymabobs come right up to you, really made me jump

F.E.A.R has some scary moments, like walking in a lift shaft and suddenly the lift out of nowhere comes crushing past you at high speed, made me jump. Or when you walk down a ladder and theres a guy standing at the bottom and he just dissappears

Oblivion when something creeps up behind me makes me jump, also the Ayleid ruins can be quite eerie, though not scary. The traps can sometimes make me jump if i'm not expecting them

The first time i encountered a flood in Halo, i remember there just being a few bodys and it was all quiet and then on the radar i just saw loads of red dots coming towards me and i thought "oh sh*t, this isn't good" and yeah, it was just a mad panic

Quake 1 made me jump on many occasions, the shambler and the trigen type monster scared me when I was younger

Bioshock can be quite freaky mostly in the noises you hear in the background

Is it also weird I find the red laser targeting beams in Crysis scary? just because you'll be walking through the jungle and suddenly loads of red lines will be going mad all over the place and you'll be like "wtf?!" then suddenly you'll get shot

I get scared quite easily :)

Fallout 3 in the Dunwich Building. Aside from that not much.
100% this. I forgot that guy in Girdershade tels you not to go there, so I randomly found it and it just has a creepy atmosphere. Then I find the recordings and computer journals. But once I entered the "Forbidden Dunwich Ruins" and that hallucination happened, I jumped out of my seat.

Also, one time I was just walking around in the Wasteland when I heard a quiet noise like footsteps. I turn around only to find a Yao Guai right in my face about to attack (the first one I'd ever encountered). Pretty freaky stuff.

Fighting in the school against my first raiders in Fallout 3 and anything really on hard, extreme, insane mode, it just makes everything so tense.

And I know this isn't a videogame, but I wanted to share what gave me terrible terrible nightmares as a child (wait till the last minute or two and how do you embed?)
