I usually turn of Mount&blades music as it gets old rather quickly. And play my own music to it.
Have you noticed how mis-matched the music is? The epic stuff will play when I'm buying bread, but theyrll b shopping music as I slauter millions.

Crackdown 2. The music was Yoko Ono or Bjork level horrific but the Agency guy... Oh man, that caused some post-traumatic stress flash backs of Navi.

Two Worlds. I love it when topics like this come up as I always give this example and it never gets old for me.

And you can follow this link for further explanation

I stopped playing at the first dialogue. :(

"Mayhap a friend of yours?" In the shakiest worst accented most horribly toned dialogue I've probably ever seen... Two Worlds was HILARIOUSly bad.

Bioshock 2. It had a sound glitch where the violin screeching music that plays when Big Sister attacks didnt stop, and I had to listen to that creepy annoying music for 4 hours after I killed her. I had the whole game on mute, constantly checking to see if it had gone away. It ruined the game for me, and I hate the game because of it. There were just too many bugs in that game.

I remember I muted the Shadow Temple and Well music in Ocarina of Time because it scared the hell out of my 6 year old self. Other than that, I also muted the Baten Kaitos voice acting. If you've never played it, imagine FFX's voice acting but worse. Much, much worse.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who muted Baten Kaitos. Gods, the voice acting in that game is abysmal.

On a Zelda related note: I was never too bothered by the music in the Shadow Temple, but the music in the Spirit Temple scared the crap out of me. And it still kinda does...

I occasionally mute World of Warcraft when out fishing or whatever because I've heard most of the music and sounds hundreds of times, and I can listen to my own stuff instead. However in raids, I use a lot of the game's sound cues to work out what's going on.

I muted Blazblue whilst doing the panda achievement.

Hearing Noel say "HANDS OFF THE PANDA" gets annoying the 2nd time, I had to do it 100 times.

Advance wars had pretty horrible repetitive music, so I muted that. I also played spider man 2 with my own music, just swingin' round the city for hours.
Man, that was fun...

I can't stand the music in Bayonetta. Hearing the same three camp songs over and over drives me crazy.

I rarely mute games, the only reason I ever do is so I can listen to music while I play.

I muted DFO the other day, not because it has bad music however (it actually has really good music surprisingly) but because I wanted to listen to something on itunes. The only game that had sound so awful I had to mute it was Suikoden 1 which is a great game, but the music is terrible.
