Kingdom Hearts 2. Although I usually try my best to pretend that it doesn't exist...

Why, exactly? You said in a thread that's title is "reputation of the original", so you obviously don't hate the first one, but what's so bad about the second one?

Imagine a glass of delicious milk, that's Kingdom Hearts. Now imagine if someone poured the milk on to your face and then gave you the empty glass, that's Kingdom Hearts 2.

It didn't put the original in a worse reputation but after playing KOTOR 2, I felt that the first game wasn't nearly as good as I thought when I originally played it. The characters and the story in KOTOR2 (despite being not acutally finished, mind you) put anything from the first game to shame in my eyes. Also, gameplay was greatly improved aside from the Jedi Master/Sith Lord level up.

Neverwinter Nights 2 is the only game that makes me cry when I think about how it has ruined the series.

Also Quake Wars could've been a lot better and have more support for the community maps, like the first ET had.

Heroes of Might and Magic sucked from 4 and up. Megaman Battle Networks sucked after the 3rd one too. Pokemon after Silver/Gold/Crystal were the last good Pokemon non-remaked games.

Tales of Symphonia 2. I refuse to remember the full name of the title for it was just so awful.

Oh my god, that game ruined the entire series for me. I have not played any game in the series since I rented that. Every time i pick up Symphonia I remember how awful the sequel was, and I put the game down.

Ack, I can sense some people coming here and utilizing their chance to bash on a good game and say Fallout 3 because it tried something different from the originals...

Actually I already did. It's not a bad game by any standard, but it is completely different from its predecessors, so it does fit the bill of "ruining" their reputation. It's not bad, it's also kinda not really Fallout either. There's just something missing.
