I recently bought Super castlevania IV on the vitrtual console after not playing it for about 11 years.

I remembered i liked the game but couldn't remember it very well. After completing it this morning i still don't know why i love it so much.

The gameplay is incredibly simple and the graphics aren't anything special (especially the naff animations)

The game itself is quite challenging but nothing frustrating and the level design is quite average.

However, i still come back to it every now and then and i don't know why. There is a strange aura about it where after about ten minutes i enter a trance of running and slashing my way until 2 hours have past.

Has this ever happened to you?

Baldur's Gate I and II and Icewind Dale I and II. I can still play those over and over again.

The first Mass Effect. It has many issues, but it remains my second favorite game of all time and I play it constantly.

MW2 online. Me and my friends always end up red faced, yelling at the screen in rage and complaining. Yet the next day..."Wanna play some Modern Warfare?"
Hah yeah this happens to us too.

I think the levelling up, gaining new titles and emblems aspect is a drawback for me though.

Rainbow Islands, it's an ancient game but I just can't get over the fact that I've never managed to collect all the gems in the right order (ROYGBIV). Also the catchy music and cartoony charm.

I also kept going back to "New Zealand Story" (The original atari st version; not that DS abortion). There was just "something about it" that appealed to me

Ratchet and Clank. The little duo that complimented Jak and Daxter have never been forgotten in my mind. After consecutive replays, i've never grown tired of it, and i don't know why...

I also always feel the urge to play a link to the past despite finishing it about 20 times.

However, this game was near perfect so it doesn't count :p

Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8.

Don't even like the sequels, this is the only one of them I do like. But I don't have a PS3 or 2 anymore so I'll settle for memories.

Heavenly Sword, I replay it almost once a month. Is a great game, too bad it suffered from being short (though I consider it has the perfect length for what it is)

Not a real video game per-say (because my 360 died recently :() but a big one for me has been 'The Last Stand' and 'The Last Stand 2' on Armor Games.

Killing Zombies for Fun, Profit, and Survival. It's a triple win situation!

Edit: Oh, and I really likes me some DotA when I'm not feeling like doing anything for a day.

Prototype would be mine. There's nothing particularly spectacular about it, it's just a reasonably solid game with some good ideas.

But I'm having so much fun with it! I've had it since it came out, and I still play it really often. It's just so damn fun!

I've killed over 20,000 marines in that game, according to the stats.
By Jove, it can't be. Me and Furburt liking the same game. It's the end of the world as we kn...
Wait, this did already happen, didn't it? HOI3.
Oh. My bad.
OT: World At War.
Yeah, I don't know either. I didn't even like it that much back then but now I seem to enjoy it more and more.
