okey take a look from it, in the eyes of GlaDOS. whom, have spent countless years doing scientific experiments, for SCIENCE.
but suddenly when a test subject goes renegade and destroys, all your accomplishments all your equipment, all of your hard work, ie pretty much what you stand for.

I mean, its like a lab rat going wild and destroying all lab result and equipment.and if it was a cancer research? wouldn't you call it evil if a lab rat causes a lab wild explosion and destroys years of hard work and results it provided.

perspective, people, perspective.
In your eyes you're fighting for your freedom, for your life. but from the eyes of GlaDOS you're a experiment gone wrong, who's destroying all of her hard work over the years. and kills her. if you don't call it evil. there won't be much left to be called evil.
that still doesnt make sense. i mentioned concentration camps, so ill bring the holocaust up again as another example.

Hitler thought he was doing good by exterminating the Jews. the Jews disagreed and only wanted to survive, but from Hitler's perspective they were the bad guys. does this make sense to you?

think of it this way: if i was a little kid with a magnifying glass and i decided to use it to burn an ant under the magnified sunlight, simply because i was curious what would happen, is the ant bad for wanting to get away (maybe even biting me in the process)?

besides, at the end of Portal 2 glados did what she should have done from the beginning. she let Chell go.

I'm not too sure if this has been said yet, but the protagonist from Farcry 2 seems like a good contender, seeing as all your doing is destabalizing a already unstable nation, either in a fruitless conquest to kill 'the jackal' or to get pills for your malaria (although with the malaria you are giving people an out but not in the most legal of ways

Hmm, no mention of Heavy Rain yet? One of your characters is the baddie. The reveal seemed rather rushed, but...there you go.
Beat me to it...... Pokemon could count you don't ask Pokemon if they want to spend the rest of their lives in your service.
10% of it beating other Pokemon up , and the other 90% in a ball.

Mister Mosquito

[spoiler/] You are a male mosquito! You don't need to suck anyone's blood! You're physically not able to! The only reason you are stalking these humans is the satisfaction of watching this poor Japanese family suffering. You only say you need the blood to justify your actions[/spoiler]

Fable 3. You're the bratty younger sibling undermining your brother who is working tirelessly to save his country. Once you do become king/queen, you either let everyone die or everyone hates you even more than they hated Logan.

Or take a third option.

Any Total War game, when you have acheived dominance by murdering all your enemies, have conquered the known world and crushed countless popular rebellions against you. Burn teh peasants, etc.

Blood:
I mean, how can this man who laughs like a mad man when he kill tons of zombies and sings "the best things in life are free" could EVER be a bad guy?? :D
Or some of his other songs, like the "I enjoy being a girl" song, whatever it's called, and:

Raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kittens,.
Bright copper kettles, and warm woolen mittens.
Brown paper packages, tied up with strings.
These are a few of my favourite things... what a crappy song!

But seriously, yes, Caleb is evil, and a vampire, but the real bad guy is the evil god thing he's going to kill. He spends most of his time (mind you, most) on killing zombies, cultists, and gargoyles.
A vampire? i dont remember being explicity said. He looks more like an Undead Cowboy who drinks blood because he is batshit insane and because it better than Kool-Aid

Command and Conquer? I mean at least Kane wanted to save the Earth and actually do something about it unlike EDI who only interests is stopping him but not looking at the big picture (how to stop Tiberian).
No, the Brotherhood of Nod are actively spreading tiberium for financial gain,
and tiberium is extremely toxic to flora, fauna, and ruins the very soil.
The goodie/baddie is fairly obvious, and you choose which one you want, which is NOT what the OP was asking in this thread.

Crysis. Those poor Koreans, just doing there job and protecting their homeland from the evil international puppets lead by the devil American Empire.

Oh, and World of Warcraft.
The Baradin daily quests where you have to massacre the inhabitants of a village for no particular reason. I mean, the villagers are a mixture of Horde and Alliance who have overcome their differences and are living peacefully together. Then I get sent in to murder them and steal their fish!

Actually, 90% of WoW quests.
Wipe out a camp of Knolls who have done nothing wrong other than be born a Knoll.
WoW teaches kids that genocide is ok.

In the instance 'Escape from Durnhold Keep' some of the guards you murder even say "I was only doing my job". These poor guards simply wanted to stop you freeing the war criminal and known terrorist Thrall. They probably had wives and children!

Looking at it a different way, it's pretty much impossible to play Prototype as the 'good guy' Alex Mercer claims he is in the cut scenes.

Still counts, because no matter what you still were the evil bad guy everyone was afraid of. You just didn't know it for most of the game. Revan started the war after becoming a Sith. Revan and Malak were the main bad guys for the whole story. Just cause you can fix everything at the end doesn't mean you weren't the bad guy without knowing it.
