Dragon Age: Origins.
Arl Rendon Howe pissed me off greatly by murdering my family, usurping their power, and then flaunting it in my face while slandering me. Killing him gave me great pleasure.
would have to agree to this. i did roll a human rogue the first time so when i found that bastard howe finally...great pleasure was to be had. I had the biggest grin on my face when i finally caught him.

between this and kotor i dont know which had greater emotion the first time through. also mass effects ending gave me some massive chills up my back in the cutscenes and whatnot.

also

ANXIETY to its finest point during crash bandicoot. the motherfucking boulder levels! i would always get right to the end with the boulder nearly one pixel behind my ass so doing a jump through the hole at the end was always super intense (i usually died quite a few times before memorizing the route and getting it done right)

Anger:
MW2 - Stopped playing it because of this
Monday Night Combat - God damm snipers

Sadness:
RDR - You either know why or need to play the damm game more.
ME2 - End mission, I admit I cheated and reverted back to save everyone.

Happiness:
Monday Night Combat - The awesomeness of playing my Fast Gunner class and vaporising anyone in the gun sights
Reach - Playing Rooster Teeth's HORSE maps, so much fun when drunk at midnight...
GTA IV - From BoGT DLC's insanity to blasting round liberty city with a little bird on your tail.

Heavy Rain, just the whole story! But I was truly shocked when the reveal came about. I think this is the reason I started watching crime shows.
Also, both Mass Effect games had moments wherein I felt truly immersed in my characters.

Heavy Rain, Heavy Rain, and Heavy Rain. That game has had me filled with dread, on the edge of my seat gripped in panic, and overcome by genuine sadness.

Well, I like to think that most games I play bring out JOY.

But, sereously, Metal Gear Solid 3 has the best, most emotional ending I have ever seen in a game. "salutes"

Half-Life 2 and episodes and I don't only mean the ending of episode 2. At first I hadn't even noticed how immersed I was into the game. I felt with the charakters, with the world. Whatever happened, I always felt anger, sadness, happiness etc. No other game has managed to do that to me yet. That's why Half-Life 2 is my favourite game.

Fallout 3 always moved me to emotion; only game I've played in a while where I really found myself pulled in and actualy caring about the characters stories. Liam Nehson's voice doesn't hurt either.

Front Mission 3 was another one. The ending of it always got to me; its one of those good old "sacrificing for the greater good" endings.

Cave Story brought out more emotion in me than any game with an actual development team when
Curly died. I got the first version of the booster, so I couldn't save her, and I was legitimately saddened by her death.

Rage: Any game where you are put with duncebag teammates.

Sadness: Red Dead Redemption at the end

Fear/Terror/Nervousness/Paranoia: F.E.A.R.

Repulsion: F.E.A.R. 2 in the hospital at the beginning of the game.

A bit of everything: All throughout Chrono Trigger. At times I was filled with joy, other times I was just blown away, others I was on the verge of tears. All of these were caused by the amazing music.

I also had some amazing feelings while playing portal, but I can't describe them. Awesomeness, maybe?

I have to admit I was pretty pissed when John Marston was killed in RDR. At least I got to kill Agent Ross at the end.

..pretty short list, really.

-Fallout 1&2.
-Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines and Redemption.
-Battlezone 2.
-Sands of Time.
-Nexus: The Jupiter Incident.
-Independence War 1&2 (or I-War/Edge of Chaos)
-Shadow of the Colossus.
-Grandia 2.
-Heavy Rain.
-Demon's Souls.
-Yakuza 3. (..shouldn't forget Yakuza 3.)
-The Sith Lords.
-Alpha Protocol.
...-Resonance of Fate and Valkyria Chronicles.

..so.. ooh, let's see. Troika, Obsidian, Ueda, Quantic Dream, Pandemic (which no longer exists), Particle Systems (how are things, Steven Robertson?), and different SEGA studios.. ...great. Most of the studios don't even exist any more.

Only 2 games have ever actually made me care.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - The ending where almost all the SAS guys get killed, twas sad to loose gaz especially. Also lots of good themes in the game, really did have some good stuff in there.

World in Conflict - When Bannon Sacrifices himself in the nuclear explosion, and then you find out all the hate hes been through up to that point. Epic game, 10/10 I'd reccomend it to anyone for awesome story and fantastic gameplay.
Agreed, CoD 4's ending was pretty damn tragic, and the Pripyat level and the nuke really got to me, and World in Conflict has a much greater story than most FPS's games which is really odd considering most stratergy games are kinda unable to sort of bring the player into it in a way.
lol finally! someone else whos played world in conflict!
I gotta admit, I was nearly crying when bannon sacrificed himself, and it was pretty damn tense near the end! its defo my favourite game of all time :)

The "good" ending in the original Bioshock reduced me to tears.
Also the whole story told through Braid, albeit really being a metaphor for the atomic age, really resonated within me as I was going a breakup at the time.

Both Oblivion and Mass Effect / Mass Effect 2 had moments of awe, where I forgot I was playing a game and felt like I was really there.

Sadness and rage with Red Dead Redemption.

The credits music didn't help with the sadness part either.

Actually, you know something?

There is no game out there that evokes literally no emotion, be it joy, sadness, anger, frustraition or even boredom.
All of these are TRUE emotions each as valid as the last, you will find next to NOTHING that evokes absolutly no emotion at all.

You have a point there, but can i argue that despite how much i try, the Sims cannot evoke any emotion in me what so ever?
