And if it was the drivers for your gamepad that's not really the games fault.oplinger said:I can too whine about controls. Most games don't allow full on mapping of a gamepad. My axes get reversed. x.o I had to wait 2 years for a driver update that allowed me to map them there.tetron said:I guess Wii games would be better on the Wii for obvious reasons. Other than that though pretty much every game is better on the PC. With the PC you have patches, updates, and mods. You can't even whine about controls because you can just use gamepads. I've yet to play a 360 to PC port that didn't support the 360 controller. You can sometimes play games with better graphics than are on the console version too.
/whinetake that!
I doubt you would say that if you played it on the PCThe_Healer said:FPS's and Rpg games are often better on PC, but not always. I doubt I would have loved Fallout 3 as much if I'd been playing it on my PC. (Which is why I am getting New Vegas on PS3 too)
But racing and fighting games, they are the console's territory.
Actually, I liked Deus Ex more on console, the only game I'v ever liked more on a console.Sacman said:Orange Box... Mirror's Edge... Deus Ex... Borderlands... Half-Life... pretty much every game I've played on PC and compared to the console version...
Ahem, mouse thumb button? That's what I did. It worked fine.migo said:snip
The implementation is crap. Q is an awful place for it by default, and there isn't really anything better that could be done with it. F might work, but there's nothing as straightforward as the shoulder buttons. It's very obvious that the control scheme was designed with the DualShock in mind.
I'd say 'crap' is far too strong a term. I can't remember if I re'mapped it, but I played Mirror's Edge on both console and PC, and found both to be good. Prefer PC generally, but Mirror's Edge was an exceptionally good port.migo said:The implementation is crap.
