For some reason, some of the most interesting settings in history is rarely used as such in games: Pre-Columbian Mesoamercia.

Not only does it have an easily recognizable and mysterious feel, such a game would be rather unique.

Anyways, does anyone know of any games with it?

Shadow of the colossus had some in the boss designs, and my friend tells me that Risen has quite a bit, but the graphics on Risen on the 360 is pitiful.

EDIT:

To add, the entire game must have it, not just one level.

Imagery can mean actual structures or characters, or story on an allegorical level.

Strategy games where you have different playable civs don't count.

Also, it must be relatively recent, in that either for current gen systems, or available on the PC. But you can tell me about past gens games to, if you want.

EDIT 2:

Sorry about this again, but meant any mesomaercian pre-Columbian I just said Aztec and Maya because it's the most familiar civs in mesoamercia.

Grim Fandango had a strong Aztec theme. I think that Star Trek 25th anniversary had an Aztec level as well.

It's interesting that Rez didn't have an Aztec/American level since I think it had Egypt, Mesopotamia, India, China and Greece.

I think it mostly boils down to stories about aztec/mayan prophecy or myths are usually very generic and boring. And "Old Mayan prophecy" is something that so many writers have pulled out of their ass at the last minute.
If the world ends in 2012, it'll be a very generic excuse for the end of civilization.

Risen was almost completely based off of all that. But that game is a pain in the ass.

Rise Of Legends had to be my favorite game with mayan flare. They had steampunk conquistadors, high-tech mayan machines, giant arabian glass dragons..

I want to play it again now.. :{

I was going to say Illusion of Gaia for the SNES... but the imagery there is Incan.

...I suppose there's the jungle part of D&D: Warriors of the Eternal Sun on Genesis... the pyramids in that were pretty Aztec.

The expansion pack for Age of Empires II was all about Aztecs and Mayans. The game is really old, but I played it to death back in the day.
