Title says it all. What games do you think have the best split screen multiplayer ever.

My vote goes for Star Wars: Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Out Cast, or Star Wars: Battlefront 2. I've spent hours and hours and hours murdering my friends and helping my friends murder other friends in those games it's ridiculous. Sniping people with rocket launchers, you will be missed.

There's also of course Mario Kart *shudders with memories of blue shells*

I really enjoyed playing Gears of War (the first one) online splitscreen. Twisted metal, and 4 player lan Halo.
Of course I didn't own GOW or Halo so it was a novelty when I hung out at my friend's.

Edit: 2 posts down reminded me, the Time Splitter series is amazing.

Time Splitters: Future Perfect

There is no other game. The best FPS of all time can not be conquered.

Long live Cortez! It's time to split!

In my family, the blue shells have affectionately been dubbed "Smurfs", so it's a common occurrence to hear someone in my house randomly shout, "I've been Smurfed!".

OT - Battlefront 1 is probably one of my favorite split-screen games, but then again, I only have a PS2.

Borderlands and Gears of War had great split-screen.

Borderlands especially, because when we got to the end and saw how stupid it was, my friend and I could facepalm simultaneously.

All 4 Halo games have fantastic split screen that I'd recommend to anyone.

Also, Perfect Dark. It is amazing.

I was just about to say that, with the giant laser gun, briefcase turrets, and all the customization for the bots me and my friends played it constantly.
My second choice goes to the first Halo though.

Survival on GoW is always a good time. I have one friend who's better than the rest of us, so we only let him play 1 of every 10 rounds, because while the rest of us die within 4 or 5 rounds, he can go for 20. Admittedly it is fun to watch him mow through them all. And Twisted Metal is ridiculously fun.

The only James Bond game I've ever played was agent under fire. the game wasn't so great, but split-screen was fun. Low gravity + golden guns + grappling hooks = a blast

I also really liked Super Smash Brothers on the Gamecube, though that wasn't strictly splitscreen. And Halo was kind of fun.

Borderlands has really cool splitscreen multiplayer, especially if one of you is way stronger because, and this is what happened at my friend's house when I first played it, one of you (Me) gets to stand in the corner while one (guy who owns the game) goes running in with their rifle killing anything in one shot.
