Games with the most annoying fanboys/girls

Minecraft fanboys take the top slot, because they're invading every facet of my downtime, and they react with unimaginable levels of snob if you dare say their Java duplo set is anything less than the second coming of Christ.

Valve fanboys are a close second though. Valve could release a machine that does nothing but display their logo and sodomize you (they'd probably call it Steam) and their fanboys would still defend it.

Bioware fanboys. Maybe it's because I dislike Bioware and don't think they've done anything properly since HotU. (Parts of Jade Empire excluded).

And what's been said. Halo, COD...those things. Mostly because they're loud and like to express themselves in new and annoying ways and think that the only games worth playing are just what they play.

Call Of Duty they are trying to defend a game that costs more then it actualy worth (the SP is worth 10$ and MP 20$ IMHO)

Halo, and with the release of MW2 and Black Ops, the Call of Duty franchise.

I wish I could go back to the days of CoD4 and Halo 2 (or even better, 1), when the fanbases were actually decent.

Bioware's base is annoying, but this is a very strong case of "don't hate them, hate the fan club".

Bloody Mass Effect fanboys.

Every third serious thread on this site seems to be filled with masses of them all worshipping Tali and recounting their exploits on the last mission of Mass Effect 2.

God help you if you're waiting to buy the damn game, they'll make sure you know every little detail and spoiler as they fight over which female character is the hottest after Tali...

Gotta agree with this. A few years back I'd have put Nintendo fanboys up there as well, but they aren't as prevalent these days.

Guitar Hero had some pretty stuck up fanboys/girls. I get the last laugh on that argument now.

Call of Duty fanboys/girls get on my nerves too.

Looks like Guitar Hero has plucked it's last chord, hmm?

And yes CoD fanboys are the most infuriating to listen to, right after Halo fanboys, naturally.

Wow no one said Mario or Zelda fans? I admit that Mario has repeatedly had tight gameplay, and Zelda does touch a special nerve of fantasia, but I just don't understand the obsession people have for them.

It's a personal view point but to me there's a huge difference in ethos between the old Warner Bros cartoons of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elma Fudd, Road Runner, etc. and Disney's Mickey and Goofy cavlcade. I'm not a particular dark or cynical person but that super super nice nice sacchrine leaves me cold. It's like some kind of weird brainwashing. Whereas the constant conflict in Warner Bros cartoons is funny and deep. And I can't help but feel Mario and Zelda fit in with the same mood as Disney.

I've got no evidence for this feeling, and I've got nothing against innoccent games it's just feels false to me. So I get a bit sick of hearing people constantly reference them. Also their formula has barely changed in 20 years.

WoW mega fans who thing WoW created everything. I am so sick of hearing WoW players saying that Warhammer and LotR "stealing" the orcs.

Halo fans, simply because they seem to think MC is the greatest character ever! News flash in the games he is fairly one dimentional and is only really fleshed out in other media forms.

Hmmm... I think I'd have to give this one to either Halo or Call of Duty. Actually, I believe they are both as bad. Seeing how certain CoD players keep telling everyone else that Call of Duty is THE best game ever, and keep spamming everyone elses thread telling how awesome they think CoD is.
