This game with this guy with shades implanted over his eyes. I would say the name but apparently there is a law forbidding anything bad be said about it.

This captcha shit is REALLY FUCKING ANNOYING.

Any GTA game (story mode, sandbox is fun as hell).
Bayonetta, because I can't follow what the fuck is going on.
FF XIII, because it's so slowly paced.
And, for some reason, Mass Effect. It just always feels like a chore to play that game, so much so that I still haven't beaten the first one after so many years.

Most boring game BY FAR was Dead Space. I was startled exactly 1 time. And after 30 min I removed the game from my hard disk, book shelf and house.

Oh and of course... Mass Effect 2. Jezus Christ, how the hell do people enjoy that game. It was one boring fight after another. Upgrades were near useless, and the characters are as dull as they can get. I did finish it though, under pressure of my friends. But when the credits rolled, I had a few thought running through my mind: what the hell was I playing, WTF, I need friends with better taste, but mostly, how the fuck did I finish this game!

Really? Oh well, your opinion, I personally really enjoyed it and replayed it several times.
I found all of the Call of Duty games after 4 boring as hell. Single and Multiplayer were just centring screen on things and clicking. You could say that Modern Warfare was just as bad but for some reason I enjoyed the atmosphere and story.

Dragon Age Origins and its sequel had be nodding of a few times. There's so much talking running, and the fighting is nothing to brag about. In the first game I literally clicked the attack button once of twice and waited for combat to end for the most part, and in the second game my dueller/assassin dagger rogue killed off any enemy in a matter of seconds so combat there was more of a momentary distraction between fetch quests and character development with a crew of misfits that none of them is in anyway normal.

Mass Effect 2 I actually fell asleep to once. Progression felt exhaustingly slow even though I finished the game in under 12 hours (great games should ideally keep me more than this to finish).

Homefront... What a HUGE disappointment. A shitty CoD clone with a great story, but horrible, repetitive gameplay and guns that acted and sounded like dollar store cap guns.

Halo was ok at first, but it just got boring (As did HL2). MoH and CoD suffer the same thing, after a while the constant firefights with samey weapons get dull.
I blame Quake 3 and Doom 2 for ruining FPS games for me. I played them so freaking much nothing really compares. Is it odd Doom has a wider variety of weapons and enemies than most modern games (more weapons =/= more variety, when all the guns act pretty much the same it isn't varied)?

Bioshock...I just couldn't do it.
What did it for you?

By the way, were you playing on PC or console?

I'm of the opinion that Bioshock - more than other FPS game - simply does not work on consoles, with the limited gamepad interface. Even the FOV is too limited on consoles, makes the game seem so claustrophobic and frustrating.
I have it on Steam. I think I have the second one too, which is odd considering the fact, heh.

I don't really think the game is bad. For me, I just didn't find it interesting. The combat kind of annoyed me. I know I should give it a second chance, but it's hard to go back to a game with a tarnished record when I have so many games on my backlog that I want to get to. One day though...one day!

I found GTA IV extremely uninteresting. Can't play it for more than 20 minutes without feeling bored to the bone.

Loved San Andreas though, one of my favorite games.

every single half life....i have never been able to like them. at all.

portal was..a push but i made it through, although i could've cared less for still alive and all the other quotes that are overused a million times online

bioshock, i restarted it 3 times because i was getting so bored with it each time, and every single time i got bored again and stopped around the same parts.

fallout 3 the game..i just did not like the "atmosphere" at all (which is odd considering i loved NV) and the main plot? you've gotta be kidding me, the literal ONE saving grace was liam neeson and he obviously is only there for half of the main plot.

there are probably a few more, but just not really caring to think right now.
I found Halo boring and you disagree with me. That is a fact.
erm...what?

when did i..

i don't remember ever quoting or replying to you? nor did i talk about halo in my post at all...

Buddy, that's me!

I played Bioshock and I was like "eeeeuuh... well?" and left if for several months.

But it's a game that has depths not readily apparent nor easily exploited.

On PC I highly suggest exploiting the (default) Shift for plasmid/weapon/ammo selection menu to full extent as the weapons and plasmids only shine when used together and just when you need them. Key is how this selection menu pauses the game, giving you time to think about what you need so when you see a nitro-splicer toss a grenade:
-SHIFT!
-Select telekinesis
-grab that grenade right out the air and toss it back at them!

Where I went wrong was I was never using any of my plasmids in combat as I would try to scroll through them and it was just too slow. It became that I'd just keep using whatever weapon I happened to have drawn rather than the ideal or most fun tool for the job.

Other things like (shift select) releasing swarm when retreating round corner, (shift switch to incinerate) ignite a splicer, (shift machine gun) chase him down till he jumps into water then electro bolt the water!

I know it's sacrilege, but on first play-though you should check out guides and wikias on how to best use weapons.

Like for example did you know the wrench does FOUR TIMES damage on stunned enemies? Atlas said it was stronger, but didn't emphasise 4x stronger. Or that trap bolts deal 700hp damage, three alone could take down a big-daddy.

At times I wonder if Bioshock would have been a funner game if the stats had been more transparent, like some kind of marker indicating damage dealt. But I have no problem leaning on wikis. Just WATCH OUT FOR SPOILER TAGS! (there are some big ones).

For bioshock 2 (that completely lacks the pause weapon/plasmid select menu on PC) I remapped the weapons hotkeys from 1-8, to Q, E, X, C, F, V, G and T

With mouse4= interact and TAB=medkit I believe I had it as:

q= launcher
e= drill
x= rivet gun
c= chain gun
f= shotgun
t= harpoon
G= hacking dart
v= video camera

This allowed me to switch weapons even quicker on the fly.

For plasmids I focused on having a few VERY powerful plasmids that I could easily switch between.

Little Big Planet for PSP. Urgh, so painful...

Also, I hat to say it, but after playing through once, Portal and Portal 2. I mean, I love them. But once you know everything that's going to happen... It loses some of its charm.

Well, except for Wheatley. He NEVER gets old. EVER. XD

taste is subjective..but sorry? normally i'm pretty open minded about what i like but when a game puts me to sleep, it's pretty hard to say I like the game.
