Only one other detail I remember: the lead character was loosely based off at-time popular Japanese rock star Gackt.
Bujingai: The Forsaken City.

When I saw your post, I left the computer and sat and read old EGM's until I found it because the question was killing myself.

Hmm, I remember playing a fighter on the Mega Drive/Genesis, fairly typical 2D beat 'em up but the characters had beast/monster forms. Can't for the life of me remember what it was called.
Eternal Champions.

It was this MMO, I think in Beta released a year ago. I have a feeling the full release was called off, but I can remember that when you'd downloaded the game, you had to go to the website of the MMO to login. It also began with an H, it was very Anime-Styled.

i cnt remember the title.. it looks like ragnarok but does not gain level. it was a little boy solving puzzles and there are warp zones like ragnarok. there is a place there where u push boxes to be able to get to the other side or room. there are dungeons too. u pick up items to be able to go to the next lvl. much as a mission.there is a lvl that it jumps on stones and if u fall u die. i hope you can help me with this. i am dying to play this game again.. been searching for a month for this game...

It was on the N64, and you drive around cars and pretty much just have a big car deathmatch. You'd pick up loads of sweet guns and fire them around, and I think the music was really catchy too. There was a campaign, though I don't remember that too well. Just blow stuff up and try and collect tapes of briefcases or something?
Difenatly vigalante 8, or it's squeal.

The special weapons were in green crates, right?

The 1st is on the XBLA arcade right now.

Bro, I love you man. I love you so hard right now.
Glad to be of service.

I still have the sequal, I never got rid of any n64 games, all of em were gems.

Well i remember having this Western FPS (western as in cowboys and desert and stuff), it had doom-like graphics and it started with you outside of this small village in the middle of nowhere. Then you found some key or something and unlocked a door and you would wake up in a train of sorts. (it might have been a demo I don't know, otherwise I can't explain the transition)

Anyone know something similar?

Edit: It was on the PC.

I used to play an old Dos game. Imagine the Resident Evil games...the way the characters were 3D but the map was pre rendered. Well it was like that similar to the old Alone in the Dark games as well. You started on a horse and jumped over a bridge that collapsed as you jumped over. You end up in a town that appears to be empty. you get off the horse and it moves just like Resident evil (press left to slowly turn left ect) all i remember from here is you're a woman and if you press the interact button when nothings around she will just say " But, theres nothing here" and also you go further into town and in some of the buildings you see this Satan type brown monster thing, waiting for you to walk up the staires. He chases you around and stuff but thats all i remember anyone have any ideas? i guess it was around the early 90's seeing as it used 3D characters and was on CD.

This old game that I used to play when my family first got a PC about 10 to 12 years ago just came to mind and I have been looking all over the internet for it but with no luck. I was only about 8 or 9 when I used to play it so my memory is VERY shady but thought this very brief description might jog one of yours.

All I remember is that you were in the desert. No idea what the objective was or anything. There were mechanical spider like creatures (which may have actually been what the user is controlling) and there was lots of explosions and it was generally awesome. I can't remember at all what you had to do but I used to spend hours playing it against my mother's will. It was futuristic and I think when you killed someone they dropped a power-up. I remember that it was quite fast paced as well.

I know this is soooo vague but thought that it as worth a try!

Would be so happy if someone could help!

alright , this thread got me racking my brain so hard about the old game i used to play with my brother

its a dos game i recall , some sort of 3d shooter fps , with 1 player and 2 player mode with split screen *rawk* in which we are a robot or a person in a blue suit. In 2 player mode , we must duel each other in a some kind of maze that resemble the inside of a space battleship. I've been searchin the screenshot at xtcabandonware with no result , the most memorable thing is it was dominated by blue color and yellow-orange ish bullet , and there's this ricochet gun with bullet that could bump around

anyone have an idea about it ?

edit:
it resemble closely like a bigger / 3d er version of xybots , i remember the wall pattern , only it was a 1st person instead of 3rd person perspective

The only game I know of like that is called 'Outlaws'. It was a pretty fun game from what I remember of it.

Ive read through the posts and couldnt find the name of the game I'm looking for... So hopefully someone knows!

It is a PC top down shooter, you played as a character who wore red armor(sort of a Boba Fett knockoff) there were tons of destructibles and a lot of cool weapons, like rocket launchers, acid guns and spider mines. The plot was something along the lines of a political revolution. I remember it being fairly long and a lot of fun to play. Im pretty sure it ran of of a CD-ROM disc but I cant for the life of me remember what it was called... HELP!
I've been looking for this game as well. I actually posted about it on page 9 of this thread many months ago. I've yet to find the name.

It's kind of nice to know that I'm not the only one looking for it though. Hopefully someone remembers.
If you have any more details maybe i can help, what year was it released, roughly?
The most I can say is that I recall playing at a friend's place in the mid 1990s. CD3Z seems to remember it better than myself though; the only thing I can add to his description is that it was kind of like a Metroid/Diablo hybrid and that the title screen showed the titular red armoured guy. I also remember dying a whole lot =P
Sounds a lot like Crusader: No Remorse and Crusader: No Regret

Oh yeah!!!!!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!! thats it, great game! you rock!
